Guess the mileage game/Utah trip report (FINAL update post)

This is not an update - just adding some more Tiffany pictures. Some of these spheres are as large as bowling balls.

I love Charley. Good dog. Eva and Tommy do it right in the dog department.

Post #5 - travel day with some sight seeing too.

Early Wednesday we headed out towards warmer pastures. After munching on some German pastries and waving to Joe's son on the way by, we drove south until a fork in the road led to the decision to take A path less traveled.










Eventually our split personality highway found itself again and it was all downhill from there. After 12 solid hours of driving, a good deal of it in the pouring monsoon rains, we escaped the mountains and the lower edge of the storms and found ourselves a nice little place to boondock on BLM land near a bloody agate location. The hill we camped on was covered with agate but most of really crummy quality and none was collected. However, we were treated to a different delight - a front row seat for a gorgeous sunset in a place known for beautiful sunsets.












We happily put a new state sticker on our map It's the little things that bring the most joy.



Get your calculations updated and your guesses in! There are only two more updates after this. The location we arrive at tomorrow we stayed for two nights with no side trips, and after that one more night on the crazy road home.

Post #6 - the only driving in this post was the around 1 hour trip we made from our BLM campsite to our destination for the next two nights in a gorgeous AirBnB house that we rented to celebrate my lovely wife having a mile-stone birthday - we won't say which one. She could have asked for Hawaii, or a cruise, etc. but my honey asked for a camping/siteseeing/rockhounding trip to southern Utah bless her she's perfect

Except for venturing out to the store a couple of times and drive to a hiking location one morning we pretty much hunkered down and stayed out of the 110+ heat as much as possible except to go swimming 3-4 times a day

After a perfectly cooked (if I have to say so myself) Filet meal had settled down, one last night swim was definitely in order.

Ahh so nice a BnB! I do hate you Tommy, the hirl, the dawg, the rocks, the skilz, and such a beautiful life!!! U should stopped n camped at my place in Valle Az.
