(drumroll please) When we pulled into our driveway tired and happy our trip meter "A" read "2416" Congratulations rockpickerforever you missed it by two. Hmmm well surface collection is allowed on claims plus a claim is for a specific mineral or gemstone. Is it a gold claim maybe??? Always a hope!

Google dead camel jasper Just for clarification - despite my early crying and whining on the subject, I haven't actually been up there to see with my own eyes if his new claims grabbed my spot ... the collecting area is pretty vast and the possibility exists that I'm still OK. Edit to add: My stuff doesn't have quite the same amount of blue in it as the dead camel does. Mine looks more like what he is calling Red Falcon jasper |

At $25/# he is quite proud of his rocks! Just looked. I hadnt see that owhyee type blue in dead camel previously. Indeed yours does seem to be moe like, but not the same as red falcon. Hey I googled Dead Camel jasper and it doesn't look like what I remember Tommy's looking rocks! It looks like sorta like Crayola, which I know the owner and it's all dug up, as in none left. It was the big new thing a couple years ago in Q.

Any time you're ready I'd be happy to take you up there I don't think it's worth a special trip though - I'd hate to send you home disappointed. Maybe on one of your trips to Q plan for a reroute through Nevada. |
