Pinterest gets around. (I was watching you) I'm not really sure how it works. I THINK I'm getting the hang of it, though. I am trying to build a few boards of other product that might relate to mine. I think that's right.

You got me on Pinterest. All I know is that half my google images are derived from Pinterest.
Pinterest people must be crows, eyes guided by color and fine photos. Gotta be good for your collection.
I am so impressed with my feminine side. I love my dirty welding. I am really not that way(feminine) please.

I missed this thread. Sorry Tela.
I see your website looks very much like the boutique I am sure you wanted to present. Very clean and pleasing to the eye. Use of color, top notch. Not overly decorated, nice.
Customer can buy on the second click, outstanding. Anything more is not good. Put their product in their face and all the "stories" on extra clicks. If they need your story or testimonials or whatever, you have a very easily navigated menu. Well done again!
Also, please allow the sales manager in my DNA to congratulate you in some excellent inventory, gorgeous photography; but most of all, I see some very handsome prices. Big changes from years back. Congratulation!!!
I am sure I speak for many here when I say we are very proud to have you among us. Thanks for being you.

@shotgunner, Thank you very much. You have no idea how much I loved to hear that! Coming from you, it means the world. I was just now working on the site, adding cords and chains. Lotta work! But, I think I have a good assortment if not maybe overwhelming. I used your alternative text. Much better! Thank you! I have been trying to be social on pinterest and FB. Not my forte, at all, but I am trying. Maybe it ill get easier.

Pinterest is good for posting lots of stuff, not sure how valuable it is for attracting followers.
I don't do ANY selling - Not in my DNA - tried following a bunch of people, most never noticed I was there.

I'm just starting out, so we'll see.

I love helping others build their business. You are a natural at this. You don't mind grinding thru the hard work. Your skills are stacked deep and you are leveraging them. What will you do when you start clearing $1000/week? Can you handle the freedom?

A regular client followed me from etsy. I'll probably keep etsy going with a skeleton crew just to redirect business- if that's even possible. When I was doing ebay (waaaay back in the day), my last week I cleared a grand. But, then I took my very young grand kids in on an emergency situation/basis and had to stop for awhile. After that, I didn't want to do ebay anymore.

Your site is wonderful. You did a lot of hard work to get it up and running so pat yourself on the back for a job well done. I'm still with Etsy but am considering my own website for the future. One suggestion, you might want to put a link to your shop in your profile so it shows up on your posts.

Keep etsy going, and include a business card redirecting them to your website on every order.

Come up with a really good name and then find a hosting company. Most of them do domain names free or cheap. Mine is free for as long as I am with mine. They are an ok company, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend them. They are Arvixe. You can get a domain name and a domain host (I think I'm using the right terms) pretty cheap. Even if you don't get a site right away, you will still have access to hosting your own images and you lock in your name.

rockjunquieSimple business card. The white is actually a light creme and behind the text is a design. I don't know what to call it, but maybe related to a top view of a chrysanthemum. Hope this helps. IMG_1814 by Pat, on Flickr

It is the FIRST time that I managed to do something that I was happy with. It goes with my site, too. I'll try to upload a picture. Edit: Here it is: BTW- The image was centered on the card. This is just MY design, not the card.

My problem is that I have so many ideas that it is hard to settle on one, so I just went by the seat of my pants or I would never do it.

Just had a look on my phone.
Site looks great on phone and iPad.
Love the sold page. Keep them all. They will become keyword rich for Google. Let's say someone is savvy and seeking Covellite. They see the sold pendant and then email asking if you might have or be able to make another. Well, that slab you have there now becomes easy money....
N'est-ce pas?
When I had my reptile store, my site had literally thousands of sold listings (8 years worth). Pics, Scientific and common names. We had one of the busiest websites in the business. Google was my friend.
Biz partner deleted it when he bought me out! Shhhh.... Stop laughing.
