The logo may not be where this discussion is going. But it is close. I spent a lot of time thinking about a logo. I think they are dead important. My logo had to meet several requirements. Keep in mind logos are often what the fast moving OCD world of internet shoppers see. 1) Name of company. 2) Location of company.(especially if in or near a big city) 3) Image of best selling design or image that defines product. 4) If possible the noun that describes product. 5) Title of website 6) Doable on a business card and/or a sign. Those were my targets long ago when naming website in the beginning. When ordering citations for your website the logo is the #1 image also. I accomplished all 6 requirements. I have never seen any documentation that makes these suggestions for your logo. It does not seem to be discussed in the internet business and I think it is a huge oversight. An informative logo may even be the success of selling a less than desirable widget due to it's introductory capacity. This is the logo that accomplished all six requirements. I guess this is my functional mind at work. Having tinkered with this same product for years and being introduced to the web in recent years this web address and logo evolved. A shopper looks at the logo and in a flash knows my contact, best selling product, location, company name, web address. Mission accomplished. A search of firepitsatlanta is the bare minimum search term to take them directly to my website. A billboard of this image alone on the side of the interstate w/drivers moving along at 70MPH would give drivers a mental image of all needed information. Internet shoppers travel faster. Signature takes time and lots of proving of the artist. Perhaps celebrity status, which is hard to achieve in a lifetime if ever. Easier when dead lol. Attend a thousand art shows and festivals. Or let your logo do the work for you. My competitor's logo. It does not meet criteria. Takes a bit of time to read. Product image small. No location.

jamesp- Your logo is great!!! In my case, I decided long ago, that it was name recognition that would help. As long as they remember my name, they can google me. I want that to be foremost. My name had to be unique. But, not too unique. It couldn't be Mary or Shauniqua. If they are thinking- What was the name of the girl that made that jewelry I like? I need to be able to help with that. Visually, my name stands out. The Tela logo will be embossed on the cards, too. That helps people remember. I couldn't really put a picture of my jewelry or a stock jewelry image, which is usually a diamond, on my card. I want my name to stand out. I want it to be clean, refined, colorful, simple, tasteful, bold and original. I'm hoping I achieved that.

The product image is much trickier with jewelry. No doubt. An easy to remember unique 4 letter name may makes perfect sense. From a search standpoint 4 letter words are long taken. Telaformosa will get the job done. Comparing a fire pit to a jewel = two different animals. I still emphasis getting as much info on the logo as possible.

I don't have a site yet but in the theme of KISS here is what I do for a card. Being from MN like Prince with a symbol and one name. I printed in silver as I'm a silversmith, the earring cards just drilled 2 holes and when they buy a set they also have a card. For work is the white card, it's amusing when standing with all the shirt and ties and me in bib overalls, everyone starts handing out cards they look at mine then turn it over to see if there is something else on the other side. But they will remember who I am.

I have a wrap from Tela with a Tela patented wrap. You should see the wire work. She asked me not to share the design and I don't blame her.
Maybe she remembers this piece. It is a coral cab Tela.

I do remember it James. I don't mind if you share the image- just not the back- that's where all the mechanics are. Though I'm sure a clever wrapper can figure it out easy enough.

Revolutionary. Question, is that your design ? It is a piece of signature artwork and talent.

Top secret toiv0. Tela in Mafia, will send one out on me. Less than stellar piece of coral she had to work with. She cut the cab and wrapped it in 12 minutes blind folded:

I adapted a base design from old timer Ed Sinclair. I love his work. Very basic, but I like it.

It was around the time of the matching coral sphere thread link

The @shotgunner Sphere of the Planet, Montatrea. It stays well displayed. Scott modeled it after Uranus(just kidding). Jean:

If I recall right- I did a little touch up on this, but you cabbed it.
