You have another of her wraps of a cab I cut (my first) from cut-offs of that ball. I'm pretty sure that's the one. If I recall right- I did a little touch up on this, but you cabbed it. I thought mine was mostly white with an orange edge. Lol. Nice wrap! Bad memory....

James, you just have to know how to look
It's not rocket science, ya know. The search tool on this forum has always given me a whoopin.

Top secret toiv0. Tela in Mafia, will send one out on me. Less than stellar piece of coral she had to work with. She cut the cab and wrapped it in 12 minutes blind folded: You have another of her wraps of a cab I cut (my first) from cut-offs of that ball. Pretty sure I only received one cab Scott. are you sure ? I think you gave that one to Jeannie. I love my sphere and my cab. I won't even let my wife wear the wrap. That's bad.

Yeah, that one is basically worthless! Just recently, Tommy conveniently placed a Google search bar right at the top of the page, to the right of the Amazon link. I have used the Google search engine to locate threads on RTH for a few years now. Having the bar right on the page makes it easy. You know how to use key words. Try it, you'll like it!

"MeteorITE, not meteor! I hope it's a METEORITE as well. Jean" Still damaged from the meteor/meteorite beatdown. rockpickerforever. Reminded me of my 3rd grade science teacher. She used a paddle. Tall long hard bodied red head, we always wanted her to paddle us. My first venture into rough sex.

He had a teacher like that, too. He remembers her vividly.

Getting back to the topic (not that I mind the diversion)- I added a comment and review page to my site at the request of a customer. It seems a little cheap and cheesy to me, but I am sticking with it. What do you think?

An easy way to give reviews is paramount. Reviews are huge. What is cheesy about your review page ? Not a thing. It is clear and inviting. No hard to interpret icons to click on to find the review section. Hatred of learning icons. Wish they would standardize the damn things. grrrrrrr

Thanks! I guess my comment platform is very simple and not all bubbly the way most things are now. Simple is good, you're right. @icons- I'm partial to the Easy, too.

If someone come to pick up a fire pit and I can tell they are excited and likely to review I go get my computer and ask them to order through Etsy. The cheating part is giving them a discount on the spot for ordering thru Etsy. I cherish my Etsy reviews. They sell my stuff. I loose money on both ends, a discount and paying the Etsy fee. So what, reviews sell, a fact. KISS works. Make it simple for them Tela.

I've been busting my tail to get my new shop ready. I think it is time to share. It isn't officially open, but you can visit. You can't buy, the cart isn't set up, yet. I am open to all opinions. I actually like it a lot, especially the "sold page". That one page took a day to make. The site is supposed to be well optimized for mobile. I'm still working on the testimonial page. I need to put them in a grid, but that won't be too hard. www.telaformosa.com password cat123 You may get a security notice because that page isn't encrypted, just ignore it. I hope to be open in a few days or so. Thanks for your help.

I looked at your page and while I don't sell any of my treasures I have done and still do a lot of merchandising and marketing of other things. Might I suggest a background that would not draw attention away from your product. Neutral background and not a rock which, I personally am drawn to, and distracted away from. I like strong contrast to grab attention. Liked the real world scaling in the hand. Not wild about the one around the neck because it would present better if the neckwas of someone with a young and tanned one.. not mine for sure. Like your skill level. Good luck !! Cliff

I think you forgot to post. I think I am not used to this particular format yet and hit the post by mistake.. grin.. Good at some things but putters aren't in the top 100 . Nice work on your pieces. You must have done it before. A long while and very attentive to detail too. Seems like a lot of work to make a buck but it must be a labor of love. We all spned too much time and money on this but it probably saves our mental health.. Do you sell in other venues besides here? Local flea markets, consignment places etc.?

I don't sell here at RTH, but I do sell online in my own shop and on etsy. I have a cab shop on etsy, too. The selling part takes much longer than the making part (the fun part!). Its not my livelihood, though. My son sometimes takes my things to a local art show and he has sold some pieces there. I don't go. I'm not the greatest people person- I'm very shy in person and uncomfortable in crowds. Selling online works for me.

Cliff Good points. But, like I mentioned before, the selling part is the hardest and takes the longest. I have tried lots of things and have settled on what works for me in many respects, including time. If I had a model, that would be great! Over the years, people have told me they like the mannequin because it shows the piece at a more realistic viewing scale. Close ups are great, but that's not what something looks like when worn. I tried a gray background and I liked it a lot, but it required too much editing and often threw off the white balance. It also tended to over saturate the colors. As it is now, what you see is pretty much as it comes from the camera. I don't have to do much work. So, I guess I am saying, I have set up my own production work flow like this.
