You know what they say - One mans trash..... Yes, surprising they are not more concerned with safety. so true. call me a trash man all you want he he I am freaked by their safety rules. It is in a rough part of town and few customers visit there. So the retail traffic is low otherwise there would be accidents galore. No doubt. Look at the photo of the show room. The compartments to the left wall. those are 2' tall X 4' deep sheets of glass up high. Customers are allowed to slide those sheets out and load them on a hand cart - NO NO and cringe cringe

Hey, send the greenhouse to me, lol. Would restore it to being a greenhouse. JK. I need one about half that size. Yes, corp. stupidity. Their loss, your gain. I have three bins of Spectrum at my old place. Maybe 500 lbs. Only wish I could get back there and retrieve it. Some is double thickness, by their 1980's standards. Would make some very nice cabs, as is. About 1/4" thick. That was the last greenhouse built about 10 years ago. Bells and whistles. I have another ready to get rid of. It yours for the taking. 1/4" ?? That is a new one. Sounds like a task to move around.

I have the perfect place for the greenhouse. Of course it would be shared with them and others. Hmmmm. Could greenhouse and fire pitfit in the bed of a pick-up? Would you be willing to give us a tour of the area? Maybe a couch for me, as they have a tent attachment for truck? They are always looking for a new adventure. Especially if there are local breweries involved.

This greenhouse is I believe 22 x 96. But it is has high knee walls and is out of the big 2 inch pipe. Looking at a 16 foot trailer full. I'll sit on couch w/you and watch them dismantle and load. The dismantle and load may deter them ?

Hey, my son in law is a heavy equipment operator for Army, well his MOS is. Appreciates geology and is a geology expert. Throw in tours of local breweries a few night for their truck camper and a couch for me to sleep on. They would be hooked. Also could include a couple of glass tours for me. Am sure they would bring a couple vehicles, so they could explore on their own. 3 day visit. Are you up for being invaded by Wisconsinites for that long?

How large is the greenhouse? This photo makes it look low. It is not. guessing 14 feet tall at ridge maybe. Heavy duty thing. I would leave the poles in the ground and hammer new ones in. Removing the post pipes is a real job. Made by Atlas Greenhouses in Alapaha Georgia. I had it custom built for 9'x9' water holding boxes on each side and a 4' or 5' aisle. So 22' wide. 96 long for sure. 4 foot centers.

I have duties and can't probably entertain for 3 days straight. You guys may have to entertain your selves a good bit. Never can tell what demands land on me at any given time but I sure stay busy just saying.

Experimenting is fun, but using shared secrets is quicker

snow on the roof and ice in the containers Jean. That was a cold one. If the boxes were sitting on the ground they would probably not have frozen.

The scrap glass deal is looking too good. $1/sheet be it 30"x30" or 20"x20" instead of $25 to $75 dollars per sheet. Looks to be a great mix of colors and about 5000 pounds worth ! I asked why they are basically trashing it and they said non of the employees had a place to store it or the equipment to handle it. Geez I don't get it but I am getting it. I have an old trailer I can leave it on and park it under a shed. Looks like I could pick about 1000 pounds out of it in selected colors and sell the rest hopefully in a bulk lot. A sampling of sheets, frit and stringer rods.

A lot of the discontinued glass is stained glass, Walt told me it is not much use for fusing. The stain glass is drop dead pretty. They did say that I had to take a whole crate at a time, 800 to 1200 pounds each. It is packed vertical and really must be raised up and out of the crate which is nerve racking at that size.
