I believe that orange/teal/brown sorta falls in line with pink/teal/brown hummingbirdstones. Then I did a bunch of Sci Fi man colors from a hammered up melt slab. Fine domes, easy as pie to shape silhouette blobs before tumble. Melt slab divided in primary color sections to avoid 5 and 6 color combos/cab. Plenty of depth And then by accident, instead of buying expensive ball shaped frit this import makes it's own balls by simply sprinkling on a shelf. Perfect for polka dot patterns.

"Melts from this $4 art plate at thrift. Orange teal brown and white another hot combo ?" UUMMM THATS A HUGE YES! Love those! The plate was made out of Bullseye fuse glass. It melt blobbed(high flow) great and is dead shiny, requiring hardly any pre-shaping. Bullseye is a fine glass and expensive. Got a little of it and have great results with it. The teal/orange/brown/white is from a pre-made pattern.

Those bars look like a lot of fun, and nice variety of colors. If you cut those to an exact size, say 3.5 inch long x .5 minimum width, then made curved forms to slump them over to give a curved shape, you could then attach them to commercially available barrette blanks. Lots of listings, this just one of many.
Just glue the glass on using epoxy. I had a dichroic glass one for years that I really liked. It slipped from my hair one day, and broke in the bathroom sink.
Skittles! There's always more than one way to skin a cat! Make your own, the combination using dots is endless.

Thanks for the idea and research Jean. Beginning to wonder if any of this glass will ever go to market. Is it ok just to make stuff and stockpile it ? I

The sci fi rounds would make awesome bracelets. Is there any way to control the diameter? Only asking because pre-made round settings are available for bracelets. The settings have an eye on each end for hooking together.

Rounds and ovals are the absolute easiest because that is the tendency of glass to melt to. A quick touch up on the lap to size/shape and presto. Drill holes(tumble if polish is desired) and wire. Those are recycle and are much stiffer than virgin glass, virgin glass seeks dead round most of the time.

I bought mine at Quartzsite a number of years ago, from a woman selling at Desert Gardens. In my mind, I was thinking I had paid a lot for it at the time (typical cheapskate, a receipt I ran across later showed it was only $8, lol).
I also misremembered about how it broke. What had actually happened, was I twisted up my hair in a messy bun, and put the barrette on. I had too much hair in the clip, and the metal barrette that the glue holding the glass to the clip separated. The glass was just fine. So I re-glued it onto a clip, and it worked for a while, until it didn't. The glue let loose, and that's when the dichroic glass fell in the sink and broke into two pieces. I glued it back together and onto another clip, but I guess I just didn't have the right glue. Think I used some J-B Weld epoxy.
I paid $5.00 for a dozen of the clips at Hardee's in Quartzsite. Can most likely find them by the oodles, cheap, online. Will try to find the glass and get a pic, to give you an idea of approximate size and bend. As long as you are already running kilns and doing all the other work, costs for glue and the barrette blanks would be negligible.
And you don't have to limit it to just those bars only. You can melt some millefiori into the mix, skittles, go hog wild!
You are most welcome for the idea, James, take it and run with it!
ETA - You ask if any of it will ever come to market? That's a problem I have, just get too many good ideas in my head, that I don't get projects finished. Always moving on to something else. You sure can stockpile it, works for me!

Wonderful recall you have Jean. Somewhere along the way I lost my memory and could never remember details like these. Do you realize how fortunate you are ? Bet Bob does not remember things, guessing he asks you ? When me and Denise are watching a movie I ask why such happened or what is going on constantly to the point she eventually has a tantrum. She keeps up with every detail of the story. Like a fine boss whom knows shit about the job and his secretary has it all under control. She may know details but I pretty much control the business, not for dominance but that is just my demeanor in handling business. And not really her strong suit, the decision part.

They make that same basic style as ponytail band covers. Am pretty sure both styles are also at places like Michael's and Jo-Ann. I made a woven bead one in the style Jean pictured. The underside had leather to keep the barrette from slipping. The beads were sewn to the edges of the leather. No glue involved. Will try to find it once my house cools down.

Does he ask me the things he can't remember? No, just wings it with what he does remember. We can be relating a story to someone, even though he mis-remembers a lot of the details - some of them not so important, some of them major details. When the story gets too far off base, I'll usually jump in and correct him. Much to his consternation...
There are a lot of things that are filed away in my brain that I still have access to, but I find myself "losing words" when I am talking to someone, or have to pause to come up with a word sometimes when I am typing. Words and thoughts can be there one moment, and gone the next. Whooosssshh! When that happens, I'll just say "brain fart" and move on. I don't make excuses, it's just how it is. Glad to have the recall that I do, lol.
Behind every great man, there's a woman. If we can all stay on equal footing (no pissing matches, please), so much can get done when we work together, and not against each other.

She says I, I say her, losing our memory lol. She is losing her hearing, runs in her family. Talk about denial. I mumble to aggravate. Probably should stop that harassment. I agree, great lady makes a great man.

I agree, great lady makes a great man. Yeah, I get that, James. A lot of guys plain and simple don't like to hear it when they are wrong, lol. If I wasn't correcting him all the time, we would never talk. In all fairness, Bob would be all over me if I kept telling the story wrong, or got my facts mixed up. But that just doesn't happen, ha ha. And yes, mumbling - or just moving your mouth without making any sounds - to a person hard of hearing definitely will aggravate. It's just plain mean, you tormentor you, lol. Someday, Denise will knock you into next week. Okay, okay, don't send any hate mail. I'm just fooling with ya.

I nipped the corners off of about 35 different sheets of this import glass and started a melt yesterday to see what happens. May have too much mixing and it may turn brown. Testing the 'mix factor'. Either way, if they melt into each other effects can be desirable or if they stay separate effects can be good. Mixing makes new colors, staying separated makes patterns. The import has bubbles but they are tiny, may be OK for knapping glass thumbs up please. Peculiar quality, the opal(meaning opaque in glass terms) is clear but heats to opaque. Called striker glass when it changes due to heat. The perimeter is 2 color melt mix tests. Mostly mixing import 90 with US 96. And import 90 with import 90.
