How do you forget one??? You have too many! LOL I agree. He should give you those he forgets about... for training purposes. You can hide them in your 21 tons of landscape rock, and then go hunt for them. OK, maybe you're not old enough to hide your own Easter eggs yet, but some of us are getting there. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Jason has more in his landscape rock than I do in my garage...or my office! π

They are all lovely! That 3rd pink one is a definite cutter, especially since it's already opened. Great job finding those pretties!

rockjunquie Those are beautiful! I would probably faint from excitement if I ever found them βin the wild!βπquote author=" rockjunquie" source="/post/1130129/thread" timestamp="1602868570"] Happy Friday! Here's a few I found on Wednesday, nothing spectacular but when it comes to Fairburns I'll take what I can get! π The third one is particularly interesting, I've never found one quite like it. Thanks for looking.
That last one makes me want to cab it. I think they are great finds! [/quote]

Well there's a nice little surprise gem! I too love the colors on the host rock. It's another one that begs the question, "Is there more under the skin?"

And now he finds them hiding out in his back-pack....
βOh, that old thing?...β
Sheesh!
Nice find.

And now he finds them hiding out in his back-pack.... βOh, that old thing?...β Sheesh! Nice find. That made me chuckle out loud, thanks for that! Actually sometimes it gets so cold or dark that I begin to pick up anything that looks close...most of them end up in rock gardens, but every once in a while I luck out.

Fridays sure come around fast, don't they? This one is mine (for now), but I didn't find it. One of my sons gave it to me last night and asked me if I wanted to cab it. I'm not sure if I will or not, I may just give it back to him. It's pretty misshapen and I'm wondering if shaping and cabbing it will do more harm than good... Anyway, a few different sides/angles. Thanks for looking and Happy Friday.

It's about time I got home so I could look at this on my computer! I couldn't see it real well on my phone earlier today.
I'm not too sure you really asked for input, but I'll throw my thoughts in...I wouldn't cab it or shape it. It has so many pits in it (in a good way for a Fairburn - in my opinion) that I think you'd lose too much material and probably a lot of the banding by trying to shape or cab this one. I could be wrong on that, but that's what I'm seeing.
I love the looks of this one! Of course you know there really aren't any Fairburns I don't like the looks of! LOL

Those were kind of my thoughts also. And I've never met a Fairburn that I didn't like, either. π

Happy Friday, boys and girls! I found this two on Wednesday, not the best Fairburns I have but better than getting skunked! Plus, it was a super nice day to hound, 75 degrees and no wind. Two of my sons went with me so it was a good day overall. Here's number one, kind of different. I wonder if there's more banding hiding under the exterior... Here's the second. Yeah, there's a tongue. Thanks for looking!
