When I first saw the pics of this one, it was on my phone...and I about fainted. Now that I've seen it on my laptop, I can't get over this one! Mike, this is probably the best looking Fairburn I've ever seen...including Google pics, all the "burns" my wife shows me on her Facebook Fairburn page, as well as the several books I have on Fairburns - which supposedly show the best of the best! It has as much going on it as some of the Crazy Lace Agates I've seen! Absolutely amazing Sir!

I love the black banding. It is an exceptional one for sure.

Happy Friday! Here's a few I found on Wednesday, nothing spectacular but when it comes to Fairburns I'll take what I can get! π The third one is particularly interesting, I've never found one quite like it. Thanks for looking.

That last one makes me want to cab it. I think they are great finds!

That last one makes me want to cab it. I think they are great finds! I know, Tela. I've already wondered to myself how far down the length of the stone the bands go and how many cabs I could make. I guessed 3. π

Thanks for looking. What do you mean "nothing spectacular?" You have Jabba the Hut in there (#2)! #1: has a very cool texture. For me, that would be a specimen (I know you're not into that, but wow!). #3: I don't know, just... Cool ones. I really need some Fairburns now. <sigh> The list is getting longer, not shorter

I know what you mean about the list, I have one, too.

Oh, I found this one also. It might be destined for the saw, I don't know yet. I'm not great at figuring out how deep patterns run.

I'm just gonna say it...you've been spoiled! LOL The old adage "One person's junk is another person's treasure!" rings so true right now! I'm just teasing. I know that you know that I know that you know each Fairburn is amazing in its own right. However, there are some which shine above others. I'm loving all three of these bad boys! And that third one, I too have never seen one like that at all! I agree it's screaming "cut me!"...

I know what you mean about the list, I have one, too. I wouldn't be surprised if the color is different half a mm down. The cut one looks like surface oxidation is a thing. Jabba looks great the way he is. He would work in couple of existing threads (rocks with faces and Halloween rocks).

How do you forget one??? You have too many! LOL I agree. He should give you those he forgets about... for training purposes. You can hide them in your 21 tons of landscape rock, and then go hunt for them. OK, maybe you're not old enough to hide your own Easter eggs yet, but some of us are getting there.
