I found my 3lbs barrel look like this in the afternoon: Almost a blow-out… The lid was super hard to open but there was no leakage yet. What a relief. Took all the rocks out. Rinsed the barrel. Still waiting for the barrel to go back to its original shape. The new rocks I put in on Sunday was a couple of picture jasper, candy rhyolite and burro creek jasper. Need to check the tumbler every once in a while I guess.

Not yesterdays finds, but some from the past 2 months. A plateful. Backs are not that special. Oolites on the left one were hard to capture in the photos. One on right is just strange. I think this is black chert with some granite. Left could be a fossil coral. Right is feldspar with a quartz end. Chalcedony with banding and druzy inclusions. Solo shot of the possible coral. Chert/chalcedony with druzy inclusions. Portions of this pieces look like someone spilled some wax and let it dry. Thanks for looking at some of my recent finds.

Found a 5 lb. block of this labeled Dynasty Jasper. It came from a bunch of estate rocks so . . . . Looks like a rhyolitic material to me, but should be promising for polish. Looks like the dead camel Jasper I have

Got some warm weather after the Snowpacolypse. Good excuse to see what's down by the water, not much

Found at a local antique store. What you guys think, is this Isle Royale Greenstone?
Bad picture through the glass...

Guess I'll kick this off, see if it gains any traction. Hell, I'll probably keep using it for my quick posts anyhow. Show us your little glimpse of heaven on earth that you found, I guarantee someone else is gonna dig it and brighten their day Here is one of my favorite parking lot finds.
Very pretty, Chad. I love those red stripes, and the gnarliness of it.
