I thought there needed to be a bit more fun on the status types available. More of a "range" of phases.
There are 11 in the list now - so some changes to current wordings and stars etc.

I'm getting bored with my little friend the PS2. I dont know what it is - I guess I must be getting old. I just bought today "Medal of Honor - European Assault" - but I can do it easily. Oh NOOOOOO What can I doo? The PS2 gave me so much fun and now its boring. Im going to bury my head in my work again - thats it - thats the answer. Hmmmmm - tricky. All is smooth but this is a bit tricky. I get the feeling I can dominate everything that comes out on the PS2. Therefore I am - I am indeed - an old man. Grim - but im fairly chilled about this loss - (at least I think I am) Ill watch some tele - "The Perfect Storm" again now - and smoke a cig and just chill. RIP PS2. (Until next time of course - maybe the old urge will return?? who knows?) All good stuff. Mark

Hi all,
Whilst away in france, griping about my hand to myself, i read a book by James Herbet - the book was called -
"Nobody True".
Now Im well aware that books are taken or left etc and its all down to personal taste - but this one left even me with a bad/good I dunno feeling at the end.
I wish I hadnt read it - Im also glad I did.
That sort of thing.
Have a read - its about NDE's etc - and I was left doing some serious thinking. The only thing is that I think it was modelled to an extent on the film "Ghost". Although in the bigger picture that didnt worry me.
Well worth it.
Mark

Alone alone, all all alone. Alone on a wide wide sea. And never a saint took pity on. My soul in agony. The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. home.earthlink.net/~chainsawrock/project/the%20poem.htmProbably the best and deepest poem ever written. But you have to read it thrice It is an ancient mariner, And he stoppeth one of three: 'By thy long grey beard and glittering eye, Now wherefore stopp'st thou me? mark

Oh no - what a crime. Just remember - if they give you any crap - any of them - leave. Your freedom to come and go as you please whilst you are on the planet is worth a thousand times a pay packet. Dont let anyone tell you what to do !! If they do - leave. Docs right - read his post carefully.......... Good luck - hope youre back home soon

Hey Conrock - keep at the music. Its not the Instrument its the "music". Im crap at it I'll not deny it - and my brother is crap at it too - though he strums away and has this lound amp and that speaker set - etc etc. Personally - I like the Violin and Piano. I have the latter and I cannot play it - AT ALL - grim. When I say Im crap at it - I do ****feel**** it - I just cannot reproduce it. If that makes sense?

Ok - I moved them over as requested. Guess what - I'm confused now as to whether to switch "guest must register to post" on or not now!! Some people have changed their minds!!! And now theres a new poll!!! Falling off my chair laughing here as now its a case of - what should I do? All is cool - I think the polls to "clarify" what people want me to set up, have ended up confusing me and you guys in some cases even more than when I was merely "indecisive" Now Im indecisive AND confused - see what I mean - quite funny really how its worked out. Give it a bit longer - and then I'll post how I personally interpret the counts/mind changes etc - and maybe someone could then confirm. Cant beat a good democratic system Laters all. Mark.

Nahh - cant have this - were doing a poll thats all. The ins and outs and what not arent for on here with regards having a row and all??? Not on the poll bit. I cant be having new folk visiting and seeing this. Its not that I dont want people to express themselves - christ thats the last thing on earth and I wont stop you either - but if theres a gripe and a point can it be in the "Life the Universe and Everything" section? Pleeaaaaase? (Ill not move it out or delete this or anything - but the rowing on the board aint good for any of us.) Strange thing is that I know already that we all know that. Sling it into life the universe folks. Just a fair cop poll on here is best for us. Please again? Cheers

I have to say guys and gals - that this is probably the closest to the way I think from conrock " Although we have a great many people here in our group our hobby is really in a decline. If we ban "guests" from posting we will loose a lot of potential rockhounds who might have joind us. If we do it as a "trial" those people will not come back and we will loose their interest. I don't really know what the problem is with "guest" postings. If you don't like what someone is saying all you have to do is "click" and you're out of there!! The LAST thing you should is reply to it!!! Tom The interesting thing about Toms point of view (well to me anyway, is that there is both a start and an end). START "Although we have a great many people here in our group our hobby is really in a decline." Thats a truth I'm afraid. But only because of lack of information. Making things shiny will always appeal to mankind (because it is representative of bettering ourselves?) - Even the nastiest little sproggs always seem to warm to rock polishing and the results - its something they are proud to either have created or been given. END "The LAST thing you should is reply to it!!!" For me personally its a case of "shrinkage" - I just shrink their little spiteful comments into the nothingness they represent. I'm often satisfied with my own internal reply of "errr yeah - cya". Thats because when it comes to this hobby, I KNOW THE SCORE. And that does it for me. Why should I bother answering a plonker? Yup - not answering them is smooth. However - that only leaves me with the question of what to do with their tiny tiny little markings (posts - like cat piss up a tree) - delete them ASAP. Should visitors join first before posting? Its up to you guys - but it can slow growth - then theres a measure to be taken and weighed up. Anyways (shrinking it) Isnt life great? Well after today I think so. I went fishing today after a bitching load of work these last months. I got 30 fish - no bigguns - but 30 was nice. It was a BIG day out for me. You guys did the rocks - cos youre lucky and im not at the moment time wise. You also did tonnes of other stuff and got on with your lives. A little ponce came on here and "took on" the friendship of a close knitt hobby board. UNLUCKY FOR HIM. Laters all - Im sunburned and about to burn even more in a hot bath (to get rid of stinking fishslime (its the Bream and Roach - they slime )) No probs from this side - I'll do whatever the vote says - then we can all also check on the new member signups and see what the score is. Weve a lifetime of this - theres no rush. Mark.
