That's great, hope you do well there. I've always wanted to go to there, maybe I'll get a chance some time in the future.

Well geez I saw this post after I posted about seeing you and Rob on the video. Seems I'm ever a day late and a dollar short. But, that's what we love about you. JK! The more posts the better.

I'm no expert, but I have collected enough Burro Creek material (been hounding there every year for at least 5 years or more) to say that what you see listed as Burro Creek Agate is just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. There is such a variety of material there, and much of it is underrated. When I saw the picture, I immediately thought of Burro Creek. It looks just like some I have, but do ya think I could find it in my mess? No...lol. It looks like a combination of pastelite and Damsonite, which is a name for the purple material that isn't as gemmy purple as agate. The Pastelite is softer but will shine with some work and patience. That is a beautiful rock you got for sure. If I find that one I have like it, I will try to remember to post a picture. I'll be moving soon so might run across it while packing. Wow, thanks a lot for the detailed info!! It's super helpful! The more I hear about Burro creek, the more I want to plan a trip there lol. Yes I'd love to see the picture of that rock if you run across it! You are very welcome. A lot of people go out there to rockhound but there is a lot of material to be found including some purple agate that has yet to be "discovered". Don't let anyone tell you there isn't any more of the purple to be found there. It is true that the Bagdad mine has fenced off and covered over the original 'cave' where the original purple agate came out but that was just one spot of many. I've even been told that the material I picked up myself in that area wasn't from Burro Creek and that was from older rockhounds who had collected there "back in the day". If you do ever get to go there it's a real treat. If I'm around then please do send me a message so I can give you some pointers. Still looking for that piece but it may be a while and of course there's always the possibility that my boyfriend cut that piece up without my knowing.

Iโm curious to know who picked up box #2. That one was calling to me as well. Hope to see some cabs posted in the future with some of these materials! ๐ค It was pebblerock who bought that box.

Hi Diane, I've gone back and forth on these several times trying to decide. There are some really great slabs in all the lots. I'll take Box #1. Thanks for all the info in your write-up. :-) I will send you a PM. Thank you.

If there are no takers on these, I will post them for sale elsewhere. I wanted to give you all a chance at them first since I have sold many of these boxes over the years on here. I'm sorry I had to raise the prices because of shipping, but they are still a good deal and an even better deal if you buy more than one because I do cut the prices for multiple boxes. These slabs and slabettes are not junk. They are slabs I sell at shows for decent money, but I'm faced with having to move and don't have any shows scheduled until fall. Some are former slabs that got broken during or after the shows, so I figured someone who doesn't have a slab saw might like the smaller pieces to make cabs. I don't make much money off the boxes considering how much time it takes to make up the boxes, take photos, post them for sale, then box them up and take them to the post office to ship. If you have bought a box from me in the past, you know I pack them full, and it's sorta like trying to herd cats to get them to fit into the small boxes. I understand that money is tight and am in the same boat, so just send me a message if it's a money issue. I am trying to reduce inventory but can't afford to give stuff away either. Thank you for listening to my "rant".

Ok, jasoninsd, have you been holding out on us so you won't have to sign all the autograph requests? I stumbled upon a YouTube video today, and who should I happen to see? Yep, that's right. Our very own Fairburn aficionado Jason. Such a treat to see that awesome Fairburn cut, although I'm sure there are a few Fairburn purists who would likely faint dead away if they saw the video. Here's the link to the video: Now please Jason don't let your celebrity go to your head. Your adoring fans will have to get in line behind us RTHers. We found you first, or is it you found us first? Hmmmm Seriously, it's so cool to see you on with Rob Jugglerguy

I've never seen Covellite with the blue green on it like that. Got me stumped.

Very unusual and cool. You are still the king of the big cabs!
