A day late I know, but just pulled it out of the litter this morning. Bought a 30 lb chunk of rough at an estate sale - definitely not a normal find in rural Missouri. Pretty happy with what I'm finding inside. (Please excuse my saw marks - my slab saw is also not a common find in Missouri - it's a home built job from the 60s from craigslist. I'm grateful to have found it at all in this region, but still figuring out the finer points of the gravity feed.) That material looks like some I've found in Burro Creek, Arizona but it could also be Amethyst Sage Agate from Nevada.

Beautiful slabs. My saw has been down for a bit mostly because life got in the way plus I need a new blade.

I don't know about some of those but slab number 4 looks like Chipboard Rhyolite from Arizona, slab number 8 could be some sort of Serpentine, and slab number 11 looks like Mariposite from California.

Great job on the wrap, glad you were able to find real copper beads to replace the fakes.

Wish things like that would follow me home, although right now I'm not in the market for anything. Good score.

That's a great wrap, liveoak. My eye is almost all better now. However, I am not up to any challenge right now, so maybe next month.

Good news is that you didn't get skunked. Glad you got out of the hole without being electrocuted. That could have been a shocking story. (Do you see what I did there? , ok so not as good as your comments but I had to try...lol).

Good lookin' boots Chad! *I haven't tried...but I've been told...hair dryer into the boot to heat things up and make the leather more pliable...then stuff socks down in there to "stretch" it a bit. Ahhh ok ok, makes sense. Someone told me to fill them with water, that just seems a bit extreme. My neighbor who is a longtime cowboy swears by walking in a creek in the boots then don't take them off until they dry. Supposed to make them form to your feet. Never tried it though since we are pretty short on creeks here...lol.

Okay, here goes! One earring it is, at least for now. And a story as well, but first the details: this was an absolute bear to photograph. The bead actually sits straight, but the back of the earring holder was pushing it out. The phosphor bronze wire actually matches the center but not in this photo. Now the story: my parents, when alive, when on numerous trips and always brought me coins. Coins! Not a t-shirt, but coins, and I actually still have many of them. This pair-to-be is of Italian Lire, pre Euro. They may be almost as old as I am. I've had them in my "wrap someday" along with some cousin coins. I'm thinking now they should have stayed there and I should have wrapped the marble of the world instead. . . I've included the back but realized after I photographed it that the building (whatever it is) is upside down. And yes, I'll try to straighten that coil under the bead, ut I've already annealed this darn wire twice. Phosphor bronze--bah, humbug. I didn't have any Italian beads, so I used a Greek one--at least they're neighbors. Cool coin wrap. Great story too. 👏

Well, I did have plans to do a wrap for this challenge but it seems the mesquite trees in my mom's yard had other thoughts. I was mowing weeds (yes, we got lots of weeds this year because of the rain) and somehow I got hit in the eye by a branch. Before you say anything let me assure you I was wearing safety glasses. I now have been blurry in that eye for a few weeks and eye doctor says it may take a few more before the blurriness goes away. I attempted a wrap but it was not pretty or even presentable so I think I'm going to have to sit out this month. Hope to see some good round wraps from you other wrappers. Thank God you still have an Australian Hello!! (You know...a "good eye"!) Ok jokes aside...I'm seriously glad to hear there doesn't seem to be any lasting damage!! It's super scary when all precautions are taken and STILL accidents occur! I hope you totally heal quickly Diane! (Wait...I wasn't poking fun by using the "winky" face!) Well..... I got half a wrap done. Does that count? LOL! I got to the bail and lost interest in finishing it. Better not to force it. I don't know what's got into me. I don't feel like doing anything. You're further ahead than I am! - I've been in the same boat as you. I haven't been on the wheel in a week and a half...and have a half wrapped pendant that's been sitting on the table for about a week! I think I'm going to go out hounding tomorrow. I think I need a "mental health" day!! Australian hello...lol. ok. I think we all need to go out rockhounding for our mental health.

Half a wrap is better than none. You're not the only one who doesn't feel like doing anything. It's just a temporary lull and I have no doubt you'll be back at it soon. Sending (((((hugs))))
