Hope all you Texas RTH'ers are safe. It seems Texas going from one wet to dry to the extremes. Nothing much in between. Again Be Safe ! Thanks! Where I live, dont have to worry about flooding. But the folks that built in the 100 year floodplains do. Always wondered if anyone ever figured out what made those flood plains. snuffy

snuffy, do you do anything in your garden to prepare for excessively wet weather? Just wait it out? interesting weather patterns all over the past couple of years. I've got everything bedded up high, for wet weather.Water drains off.For dry weather,I would mulch heavily, and water in 1 gal nursery pots buried between my tomato plants.I have lost my squash, but that's it so far.Remains to be seen what happens when the rain stops and it gets hot. Most everyone here has lost their gardens. They are not fanatical about them like I am. snuffy

We have been getting rain every day still. The county south of us has some spots record 20" of rain the last 2 weeks.I quit keeping up with ours, this morning had a 2" wakeup shower! My 41st spring garden, never went this long without stringing out the water hose. Will be midsummer before I have to,if then.Aint complaining though.

Fine batch! Love the red breccia. The first heart looks like rain falling from a thunderstorm.

beautiful! Do they have a scent? They look like they would! Do you know what kind it is? Winter killed almost all of the roses in my back yard. Going to go for the arctic ones if I decide to risk the heartbreak again. thanks for the pic. Not sure of the variety,no scent to speak of.My fatherinlaw gave us a cutting he had rooted about 40 years ago.Grew into a gigantic bush that finally died.I luckily had one rooted cutting that survived{auto-correct: MOV files not allowed}ed to my present house and it came with me.Need to root some more. snuffy

If some one has the space, you can get a large plastic trash barrel, fill it half full of water, and throw your sludge bags in it.Oil will ooze to the top over a long period of time,to be scooped off.Been doing this for years.Sometimes after letting the cleaner oil drain out the plug,I just dump all the sludge in the barrel without filtering.

Can you do us Canadians a favor keep the geese there please. Nasty dirty birds. You did not pick up any rocks? We have some of your geese around here in Central Texas. They decided to stay 7 or 8 years ago.Make the rounds of all the area ponds. They walk behind my house stripping the Bahia grass seed stalks. Love to see and hear them honking as they fly low over my house to make a landing in my pond.I guess we are lucky they don't overproduce young, too many critters, fire ants, etc. snuffy
