Order extra lid gaskets while you are at it. It is the weak part of an otherwise good tumbler. Or make your own out of two ply neoprene or something tough. The liners are guaranteed for 5 years. The lid gaskets if tumbling rocks have no warranty. Or at least that was the policy when I was a dealer. You can also spray a good coating of plastdip on the lid, especially towards the middle where it wears out first.Did mine and never had another problem.Tape off the edge a little and spray away. snuffy

Only my opinion, the bucket could hold up a few days, but tumbling rocks for an extended time in it is looking for a big mess to clean up. Well reading instead of skimming over,it doesn't claim to be a rock tumbler! Santa will go back to making his rounds. snuffy

Brings back my memories over a half a century ago.I would take the tractor ,pulling a slide behind it,and roll large pet wood pieces up out of the creeks and roll them on the slide and take them home.Good memories!!

Here are some pics of tiny points found in a campsite on our old homeplace. In my research many call these "bird" points. Some have claimed they were "toys"used to make small weapons for the kids to learn to use.Whatever the use, they made me happy when I found them. Some fine knapping went on!Enjoy. My favorite on a dime Thanks for looking snuffy

In the years bh,before hogs,I would go to the woods and the leaf mould at about a 3 inch layer would blanket the ground.Shoveled up and taken to my garden. The years ah,after hogs, couldnt even get a good shovel full, rooted up with tree roots and all. Ended that!

*L* Taters beans and corn are my favorite basic veggie, but they have to be served with meat with a side order of meat, preferably bacon. I have a theory that most anything tastes good wrapped in bacon. My pop was a zoologist and a taxidermist and we ate everything, often wrapped in bacon *L*. Don, I've had K's, C's and MRE's. I actually did not find any of them too awful but the K's we had at "Lost in The Woods" did taste a bit dated *L*......Mel snuffy

Here’s another mystery form the Hohokam site I don’t expect any answers from this picture but the picture is taken in the archaeological dig. Basically a rectangular hole --6 feet deep. This line of rocks are 4 feet down from that surface. The rocks extend, I image, all away across the field and as far back as the field. Its like there was originally all those rocks laying on the surface and they got covered over. The dig exposed them. I’ve taken a picture of it before years ago. I can’t get an explanation. And that the other thing that irks me. I had my camera and didn’t take a picture of the slag/meteorite rock. Maybe not an adequate explanation for this occurrence, but an observation of what happens in my area is that over time the rocks settle and sink until they hit the clay that underlays the topsoil.Varies depending on how deep the topsoil is.Undisturbed soil will be rockfree until the harder base is reached. In your photo,it seems to be a slightly lighter colored soil underneath the rock layer, which could indicate a harder subsurface, unless its my imagination! Mostly! snuffy
