That's so good to hear, snuffy! Looks like he found himself a great new home. RRs are very smart, the only downside I see to them is they are prone to getting cold, since they have no undercoat, and only short fur, need a sweater when it gets cold. Is Buddy "fixed" or intact? Unfixed Unaltered males tend to roam more, but I'm willing to bet someone dumped him when they could no longer afford to feed him. He did look a little hungry.
Good thing you live out in the wide open spaces of Texas. Bigger dog, more food = more to pick up, lol. My mom has a Brazilian Fila, 140 lbs., also an 80 lb. pitbull. That's a lot to pick up after... He's intact Jean.Dont have to pick anything up after him and my Boxer. They go out in the pasture and mark their territory way out there! He stays in the house when its cold. snuffy

Music to my ears. Lucky RR. Thanks to you Snuffy for performing a rescue. I hope he lives a long and healthy life w/you. He will come beside me while I'm in the recliner, and I motion and tell him to go in a circle around the couch to my feet, and he does.Loves to run the open pasture behind my house. No lions though.Just got to buy larger bags of dog food!! snuffy

Going through posts that I missed while I was away. Thanks for posting the long-awaited extra photos, James. Definitely during warmer days. That's a lot of people, and a lot of dogs, lol! Ridgebacks are such cool dogs. Snuffy, how is you're new dog doing? Jean,my Buddy is doing fine.Just took him to the vet,no chip. He's about 2 years old they said.He minds so well, sits, lays on command ,seems to understand everything I tell him.Loves to ride in the car.Now hoping I don't locate the owner, but gonna keep trying.Fantastic dog,no wonder James loves them!! snuffy

snuffy, how can I tell if a brick is a firebrick instead of a regular brick? Pat,seems like the light tan bricks are the ones used in the fireplaces I've seen, and are a slightly larger size than regular bricks.Just an observation. snuffy

Hope this isn't too far off the aluminum can subject.Over 40 years ago,I bought a couple of old chicken houses, and the tin that was on them was aluminum, apparently.Seems like this would work well as jewelry.Still have a lot of it left. This is the only time I've seen this in use, dont know if they sell it anymore. These were built around 60 years ago. snuffy

They are fine. Can not have enough Brazilians. Good to see ya back at it Snuffy. Everthing is quiet now James,no saws,no tumblers going.2 years ago, walked outside and looked at my electric meter, spinning so fast it made me dizzy.16 and 18 hp saws cutting,8 tumblers,Christmas lights, clothes washer and dryer going, all electric home, cold here, heating unit,24/7. Take a break from the rocks now, during this time. snuffy

Here are a couple boxes of my tumbling stock. These are small frbs.I usually have between 3-3 1/2 lbs in them. This is unusual due to being small saw cuts of a uniform size for the most part.Good for projects. The boxes are $24 each,US shipping, paypal, shipping included.Nickel for scale. Box 1 SOLD These are tiny saw cuts, many kinds of stone in the mix, palm.Iuse these as smalls in the batches, they come out very nice. Closeup Box 2 A box of Montana agate saw cuts. They are rust stained which tumbles off easily Some I've tumbled snuffy
