About 90% of the rocks I've done have been self collected. It's nice to throw in a few fancy ones once in a while but I get a lot more satisfaction from the stuff I've drug home myself. That's just me.

Ha, I was going to ask about the polish as well. Can't comment on the vibe deal since I ve never used one. Some nice looking rocks there. Learning curv to everything.

Mike, those look fine. Really nice polish on those. Self collected rocks in the north are bound to have some fractures. Lots of my tumbles have fractures. Getting a little more selective on what I put in the tumbler and more selective culling, I do have some pretty nice driveway gravel. Have decent sized chunk of Lysite in coarse right now, I wanted to slab it but it is just way too fractured to bother. You've got some pretty rocks there, keep on doing what you're doing.

Wow, thanks for the pictures. I'd like to get down there sometime. Probably just wind up wandering around babbling to myself. Russ LOL nowyo , don't you do that regularly anyways? Yeah, kind of a normal state for me.

I've tumbled a fair amount of wood. Toss it in the tumbler, as long as it's fairly solid stuff it turns out nice.

Those look really good, Chuck. I have at times wondered about doing something similar but always chickened out, I guess.

The one towards the bottom, above the group of three jaspers? It appears to be a mix of metal and jasper. That is beautiful. Where was that found? That one really is pretty in good light, the metallic sheen almost glows. Collected it in the Bighorn Basin, WY.

Yeah, I've been calling it chert. Quite a lot of it in that area but only found a couple of pieces with coloring like that. Most is just a boring brown/tan.

Well, they all started in 2018 but meh. Nothing exotic or special, mostly just stuff we found wandering around in Wyoming and a couple from Nevada. The pile
From Nevada. This one is about 3.5" long. The last two are from Nevada again.
Thanks for looking.

Now those are nifty. Maybe even elegant. Remember Snowxxxx who made the translucent agate house that he illuminated from within? I make nightlights but nothing as complex as your luminarias. Thanks. I remember that little house-he had it at Quartzsite in 2014. I'll bring a couple of these down with me this week for folks to laugh at.
