My goodness, if it's coming down to tank battles in AZ over wood then I guess I'll stay up here and look for jade. Wait, I happen to know an Warthog driver.
Great haul, that is some really nice stuff. The fossils really set off the days hunting.

I'll say you've been busy. Holy crap, that is flat awesome. If I had half that talent I'd be, well, more talented than I am. Fully understand not wanting to see a paintbrush again!

The coral looks really nice, but we're all wondering about the bologna tie. You're keeping us in suspense.

Some might. I have been surprised, though, at how well some of those fractured jaspers actually hold together. Those are nice and look like a lot of my tumbles. Of late I've been a little more ruthless in my culling. The ones that break up become smaller, at some point they become driveway gravel. I've got some around here a lot uglier thanb those.

Missed a few days, finally got caught up again. James, the time you are spending on this and the attention to detail are amazing. Something to learn with nearly every post. Now I want to go back to Nevada and get a bunch of obsidian again.
I've only run a few batches of obsidian, I'm no expert. The photographic journey is incredible. Thanks for taking us along.

I always liked squirrels. Fried up they make a good meal. Trouble is, these little pine squirrels we have up here aren't really big enough to bother with.
Caught one when I was a kid, thought I'd keep it for a pet until it bit me.
Couple of years later I caught a muskrat. Thought that was really cool until he bit through my finger. Slow learner, I guess.
Cool post, Mel. Squirrels defeating bird feeders are a hoot to watch.

Probably Torrington, WY. Right on the highway as I recall. They've been there forever, well known.

Like most, I was at work. One of the Production Supervisors was late coming in that day, called and said a plane hit the Towers. Dragged out the TV we used for showing training videos, cobbled up an antennae sort of thing and managed to get network broadcast on it. Hoping it was some sort of stupid accident (but doubting it) until we saw the second plane hit. Never forget. Never forgive.
