Nice ring, @toivo and excellent punt on the stone!
Thanks for the review of the Paige tips. Helpful info.
Initial thought is great quality and performance and a good purchase. Will know more as I use them more and update this thread. In the punt. I took the holographic vinyl and submerged in water then dried it. Now I am a little worried the uv rays will lighten it. I guess another test is in order.

I agree! But I'm curious how the epoxy on the doublet let go. Any thoughts on that Billy toiv0 ? Well the back of the cab was polished so my best guess is two things. Cab not cleaned properly and not being roughed a little. This doublet was handled a lot and traveled for ever in my tool box. It survived taking it in and out of the bezel a bunch of times while fabricating the ring. The last time when the ring was ready I picked it up and it just fell apart He epoxy was stuck good on the backing which was sodalite.

Well we'll well, another person who's made it to the top of the ladder. These are really nice and the shapes and shine are very pleasing.

Well ordered up a set of the Paige Torch tips. First impression they quality and built really well. Just put on a m-1 and a m-2. I can see initially the m-2 will probably be my go to at least to start. Am going to make something later so will put them to a good test. The pics of the flame is fuzzy but in real pretty sharp. Here's the set. 6 tips, adapter, and a tip holder.I M-1 tip M-2 tip

Got one order in for 15mm x 3 mm. Which is about 5/8 x 3/32. A little over half and a touch under an eighth. These are for some rough pieces of Amythest up to 3 inches. Mighty strong. I also ordered some 1/2 x 1/16 haven't came in yet.

Could you add a round abdomen to the back end of your piece using extra easy solder or something? It’s a fun piece regardless! and the pendant reminds me of a sail on a boat. I really like it. I will play around with adding an opisthosoma. He'll I can't even pronounce it.

Add an abdomen and throw it in a drawer for awhile. Maybe the leg will grow back! Teehee You don't want to see the one I scrapped. You would have nightmares.
