You're killing the East Coast crowd with those 'leftovers'. It sure is pretty, though.

Brian - You made it sound like one of those "Save the Whales" type commercials: "For less than a dollar a day..." Garage Rocker - Awesome "carrot" pictures! What in the world is that material in the 5th picture? It's gorgeous! Wish I knew, Jason. It's one of those you forgot where you got it, when you got it, or what it is. I'd take more of it. I whack a chunk off every now and then for the tumbler, trying to conserve it.

Nothing better than some beautiful pictures to stir up some new bids! I love the captions on those, Garage Rocker ! Hahaha, I've been around the sales block a time or two...

I think you've got a winner in that oval. Nice composition, I'd be hard pressed to ID that stone once finished. The bottom half looks a little iffy, hope it holds up for you. I got a little overzealous drawing that teardrop on there. As soon as I did, I saw the fracture line right below the oval...and it extends into the teardrop. I'll cut the oval out first, and look at what's left of the slab and will likely choose a different shape from the bottom portion. If I hadn't been the one to cut that prairie agate, there's no way I would have ID'd it as such! LOL You get that oval out of that slab, you won. The rest is gravy.

Beautiful cabs and some great looking subject matter. Don't listen to those cats, they lie for a living. Thanks. ‘And the cats didn’t so much lie, as express their helpfulness and artistic license. “There. Doesn’t that look better?” The best argument against flat-earthers...if the world was flat, cats would have already knocked everything off.

I was digging through my prairie agate slab bag and found this one I forgot I slabbed. It just got moved up on the "to do" list. The oval is solid, but there might be a fracture line on the teardrop. I'll cut the oval first and see if the teardrop looks solid or not. I'm pretty stoked about this one. I think you've got a winner in that oval. Nice composition, I'd be hard pressed to ID that stone once finished. The bottom half looks a little iffy, hope it holds up for you.

Hey I've got a correction for you. That second cab down, that I probably told you was Crazy Lace, is actually Flor de Durazno Lace Agate...or at least that's what I was told it was when I bought the rough. I was digging through some bags of slabs and the sister pieces to your slab were in the Flor de Durazno bag... I think the mistake may be mine. I assumed that Flor de Durazno is a subtype of Crazy Lace. Also, remember... the cats disagreed with my slab filing system and made some changes. Beautiful cabs and some great looking subject matter. Don't listen to those cats, they lie for a living.

I might be under the wrong assumption...but to me, anything coming from Mexico that has fortifications is a sub-group of Crazy Lace. LOL Amen. Who can keep up???

Estate sales are different from auctions. Everything is priced and works like a high end garage sale. The sale is set up throughout the entire home. We have a sign up sheet and allow a limited number of people in the home at any given time. The sign up sheet let’s us know who was in line first. It helps us with crowd control. Some people get there very early to ensure entrance to get the things they want. Sometimes we have over 100 people waiting when we open. We obviously can’t just open the door and let everyone in at once, it would be chaos. People are allowed into the home in the order they signed the list. Usually only 10-20 at a time. We did have someone contact us (maybe from this forum?) that was interested in all of the rocks and rock polishing equipment. We do discount if you buy in bulk! Thank you for the response. I literally had no idea how this thing was going to play out. I am considering driving 9 hours round-trip and have to weigh out the odds of coming home empty handed, much like anyone else who attends.

The longer this goes, the more I search, the more I cut, the more I find, the more tumble fodder I add. This is going to be hard to fit in a MFRB. Don't know how much more it can hold before an upgrade is needed. Here are some additions to my original offering:
Should be a breeze, I did a pre-grind on the tile saw. Should be an interesting tumble with some exterior color left intact.
Challenge, but beautiful. Don't expect perfection.
Hard as hell, will require patience. Fracture free and makes a stunning tumble with a lot of depth.
Nothing pleases the crowd like some bling.
Flint Ridge...could it look any different? High expectations for this one.
Don't know how the quartz cap will fare, but this is picture jasper-esque, regardless.
Near and dear to the heart, this will not likely be a perfect tumble, but it will be something in your tumble bowl that not many others can say they have. A couple pieces of Kentucky agate.
This is not meant to be an "add-on", as it represents a minute portion of the bounty offered, overall. I am just having fun adding to this box sitting here staring at me. That, and I am a self professed photo junkie with fresh subjects at hand...

As someone who has never done the estate sale thing, how does something like this work? I saw something about a sign up sheet available two hours before the sale. Is this an auction type setting?

I've noticed that it is very popular in that area and a favorite of locals, you may try advertising to businesses nearby. Someone may want a landscape rock...a rather large one. Personally, it's 9.8 tons more pudding stone than I could use.

Welcome from Kentucky. You should throw a little cheese and garlic in those grits...yumm. Sorry, couldn't resist. I hope you get a handle on your grit problem, but this hobby does tend to get messy.

You've got a hold of some nice lace material, that is a great tumble. The Condor turned out beautiful, but that Missouri chert is so unusual, I'd like to see more of that. Is it a one of a kind, or is it common to find those patterns?

Great shots! You must spend some time out there on/near the water.
