No help on your tumbler question, but welcome to the board from a Greenup Co. transplant in Lexington.

Love to see this! I just hope whoever wins this has a plan for sneaking this much material into the house. Haha! That is going to be a lot of boxes. And one worn out postal worker. $335 You better start working overtime on that big tumbler build. This is 10 years worth of 33B tumble fodder!!!

As a tumbler, I love getting my hands on nice slabs like that. It usually means one thing...magnets!!! Easy time on the tile saw, too.

I swear, I don't know how one person comes up with so much drool worthy material. I've got to know...what happens to all this stuff? Is it out there on the market once you cut it? Are you making works of art with it? Is the fun in cutting it and stockpiling it? You churn out some gorgeous pieces, a lot of them, I'm just nosey. Thanks a bunch bud! As for your question.. All my slabs are carefully catalogued, packed away in crates, and then wheeled off to the warehouse for storage. (Kinda like the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark) THAT is the answer we all feared most.

Geez, Garage Rocker , that is incredible tumbling material! I'm going to start bidding against myself again if this doesn't get to $150 soon. A great deal for what looks to be about 50 lbs. combined of high quality tumbling stock. Tommy's picture jasper is going to make some sweet tumbles, it's always a crowd pleaser.

I'd like to see this thing climb higher, so I am offering up a MFRB of tumbling material to the winner if the bid reaches $150. This is about 25 pounds of some of my favorite tumbling materials. A little bit of it will be broken down, but the majority of it is left for you to decide how you want to prep it. This is all manageable with a small tile saw; I regularly break down material like this with my 7" saw. Of course, there is always the hammer and chisel method, too. Here is most of what you will find in the box: Priday thundereggs (friend bed) X 2
Mookaite
Crazy Lace X 2
Polka Dot agate
Rio Grande agate
Maury Mountain moss agate
Montana moss agate
Brazilian Agate X 2
Stony Creek Jasper X 2
AZ Pet Wood
Flint Ridge X 3
Tumble ready:
The tumble ready mix includes pet wood, fossilized coral, Botswana agate, Crazy Lace, Kentucky agate, Flint Ridge flint and more.
Not pictured is also some Moroccan agate I just picked up yesterday and a piece of George West pet wood.
This is all great tumbling material. With patience in the first stage, this box will produce some great tumbles (or possibly even some cabs, if desired). If anyone needs more pics or info on the box, let me know. I'll try to get it all together for a group shot later. Randy ETA: If I have mislabeled anything, it's certainly not an attempt to mislead. My best attempt to recall some of these.

Chuck, you got ahold of a nice bunch of bots...tumbled to perfection, of course. Great batch, thanks for sharing.

I'm always a fan of the Texas and Mexican material and you knocked them out of the park. That said, the Sonora plume (no matter which way you slice it) and Chrysocolla are both outstanding.

Great job as always, love the speckled guy. We just picked up a lot of Bots and were very pleased with the quality, some larger material also. Really like the Bahia, we did a whole batch of nothing but them about a year ago- took forever, but turned out to be one of our favorites. My boy usually saves 3-4 rocks from each batch for his own collection but with the Bahias he took about a dozen. Al That's a good kid. I love me some Bahia's also, some of my favorite tumbles.

Nice work, Grant. The Rio is a beauty, for sure. I like that poppy jasper also, something I haven't done often. Funny how the banding can be so well defined in some Bots and then some have that cloudy, 'ethereal' look, like the satellite image of a different planet or something.

Looks like you made out like a bandit on that deal. Sure is a gorgeous rock; makes the heart flutter when you crack something like that open and get that first look, doesn't it?

My attention to detail is lacking. I had in mind these things usually end on a Friday and I missed the boat. My 'swoop in at the last second' plan did not materialize. I would have broken my 'no auction' mandate. I do still hate auctions, by the way...
I might just have to offer my own material for auction, so I don't have to participate in the bidding.
Great haul, Brian. Congrats on the win, I expect to see some great follow-up pictures of this generous offering.

It's starting to get pretty interesting. I see a whole lot of value in these offerings. Someone could knock out a whole year's worth of gifts, right here. I bet it climbs even higher!

All of these encouraging posts and pictures are making me want to start bidding against myself... I really need to stop looking at the updates. Those last pictures of green petrified wood are so nice that I’m starting to feel guilty about not bidding enough. Let’s up that last bid to $90. Or better yet, $95. Still too low? Let’s make it $100. (For the record, yes, I am bidding against myself. And yes, I am bidding $100.) Good for you! You'd make a brilliant negotiator. That's a whole bunch of nice looking material, somebody's going to have fun with it.

Glad we got to see some pics. Looks like you have some nice potential in that lace. Don't be afraid to sneak up a little closer to those rocks while they're sleeping. Let's see the details next time!

I love it, Jason, that's a special rock. It definitely looks different than the blackskin agates I've cut. They can be varied, and I have several different looks in my tumble bowl, but none with these features. I would probably keep the best slab as a specimen (always possible to cab later) and work the others. But...that's just a random guy's opinion.
