I worked at UPS loading delivery trucks in the early '90s. Many boxes get thrown. Also they get jammed together in semi-trailers to maximize the use of space. They ignore "This Side Up", or "Fragile" labels. Lynn

Pictures are still hard to make out. Those rectangular inclusions look like crystals. I say not Dino Bone. Lynn

You won't have to worry about oil up the vac. hose, it amounts to a mist that collects at the hose end. If you have a killer shop vac. the oil will only coat about 2 inches of the vac. hose , simply wipe it out with a kleenex and your finger. If you are worried about it, run for a couple min. and check to ease your mind some ! Harley YMMV. Depends on the alignment of the stars. Mine does suck a little oil into the hose & even to the vacuum itself. Lynn

mohs - Brazilian agate is very abundant. It comes in small to large nodules. Some of it is bland until they heat treat it to bring out some contrast. And then there are the BRIGHT PINK & BLUE slabs, wind chimes, bookends, clocks, etc. Don't you just LOVE the colors of nature? Lynn

pizzano - Welcome to the forum. I enjoyed your detailed write-up. I'm surprised you're having success with 60/90 in a vibe. I have a Lot-O & have found that wear isn't the issue with 60/90, since the barrel is 1/4" thick rubber, but the grit clumps in one spot & doesn't do its job. So you're not having a clumping of that grit? Lynn

I've seen stackable agate bowls like these. I think they're made on a lathe. A cutting tool can be made to cut a curve without wasting all the material between bowls. I could be wrong, but that's how I'd do it. Lynn

rockjunquie - Glad to hear it was only the shed. When I first read the subject line I thought you had an explosion in your head! That wouldn't have been good. I hope you can scrape the melted plastic off those slabs. I once fell of the roof when we were building our house. I fell 9 feet to the ground & broke my ankle. I was thankful that I didn't fall off the other side of the house which was a 17 foot drop. I actually thanked God for the small injury, rather than a broken knee, neck, back or worse. Perspective! When we dwell on our troubles, we need to think about our blessings. Life is good. Life is a miracle. Lynn

rockjunquie - Another batch of great wraps. That diamond shape is something I've never seen before. I like how you eliminate wires near the top. I'm assuming you clip them & hide the ends under the binding wire. Very cool. I'm puzzled by the Charoite wrap. From the photo it looks like silver sheet with a wire on each edge. Please explain how you did that. What's holding the stone in? The Koroit is a beautiful stone with a simple, perfectly executed wrap. Keep posting. We love 'em! Lynn

Do Sparex, Boric acid or Borax do anything about rust prevention? I didn't even know they were used as a lubricant. Lynn they are not lubricants. I was just using them as an example of things I use in place of the branded products. pH down I use for pickle, and coat my silver before soldering with the roach (boric acid) killer mixed with denatured alcohol. I use both of those for the same purpose. Us McGyver types need to spread the word! Lynn

yes it's what I have in mind, but a cheap home made alternative like pH down instead of Sparex or roach killer intead of branded borax. Do Sparex, Boric acid or Borax do anything about rust prevention? I didn't even know they were used as a lubricant. Lynn

txrockhunter - Awesome photos of some beautiful rocks. #3 looks like solidified & molten lava. Please share how you shoot your macros. I've had trouble getting the light just right (no major reflections) and no shadow from the camera. BTW, your avatar shows that you have 666 posts so far. Please don't go over to the dark side. We like you here. Lynn

Wow Tommy! I like them all - especially the plumes. You've got some beautiful cabs here. That natural edged Aqua Nueva really grabs my eye. Lynn
