OK, only the Noreena jasper pendant & some older ones sold - a Royston Turquoise, Holt Canyon moss/plume agate, Cedar City agate wire wrap & one of my wife's beaded necklaces. It was still a great show. The weather cooperated. There were less people, but the right ones came to my booth. The sky looked like rain, so most vendors started packing up about 5:15 on Sat. I was more optimistic & stayed another hour and a half. When I was just one of maybe 4 vendors left, a family that had bought a $140 pendant on Fri came back & spent $450 more! They were buying gifts for co-workers & family. Lynn

Arlen, Very nice work! I will try that sometime. I've never made a bezel out of anything thicker than 28 gauge, except for prongs. Lynn

I've got a show Fri & Sat & just finished these 8 silver pendants. The Holt and Royston are self-collected. Montana Moss agate, Noreena Jasper, Maybe Purple Passion agate, Sonora Sunrise with a bit of Azurite on the tip Tiffany Stone, Holt Canyon Plume agate, Dino Bone Royston Turquoise If you detect a prong kick here, you're right. I did a few when I wanted to set a Montana Moss with a honey colored tip. A bezel would have let less light in. Light is a honey-colored tip MMoss's best friend! Prongs take more time (maybe) than bezels, but fit certain stones/designs best. I know the photo doesn't do each pendant justice, but the camera battery & tablet battery conked out at the same time. Maybe close-ups later. Lynn

I'm late There's a Rush song that has a line similar to how this started, but nothing like how it ended up! Lynn

I'm proud to unveil this as proof that good things can come from sketchy beginnings . Thank you to captbob for the idea. DIY Projects pages Tommy, your link to DIY Projects tells me I don't have permission to view it. Same thing if I click the link to it in Home/Additional Rock Related Projects/Lapidary Equipment/DIY PROJECTS PAGE. Lynn

I love that stuff. I bought a bunch for myself from the Madagascar girls at Quartzite & Denver. I also bought some to sell along side my jewelry at art shows. It's fun to pick through the the bin & get the ones that're calling to me. Lynn

I've only recently heard of Dead Camel jasper. Is this a recent discovery? I like what I'm seeing in your photos. I'd love to go, but don't want to influence the date because it probably won't happen. Lynn

My laptop & Android tablet are both 1920 x 1080. My iPhone 7 is 750 x 1334. When I upload photos to my webhost for inclusion in a thread here on RTH, I usually make them 600, 800 or 1000 pixels wide. If my post has pix, I use my laptop to edit & upload them. It's much easier than doing it on the iPhone or tablet, especially editing. I haven't tried uploading to my webhost on iPhone or Android tablet. Lynn

...And history was made on 07.14.2017 when coloradocliff posted pictures on RTH. And there was much rejoicing. Except for the small size. I'm sure you'll figure that one out next. Lynn Dang you sure are a hard man, Lynn. Here I am.. Just glad to be above dirt level, did the only thing in his life that was a victory, got the picture thing kind of figured and Lynn just massacres a helpless victim.. grin.. His wife is right, there's no pleasing this man. Always gets back to that small size thing he's so fond of tossing out there.. Bet you the lizards in Cedar City even feel sorry for me, so with the great comfort of your unwavering support of me,( kind of), the next death defying feat that I will attempt is to start a thread so I can get back at you, Lynn... hhehehehh Doing any good Lynn? May you always find shade and water brother. .
Wait, 1362 posts & you haven't started one of your own? Let's get on the ball dude! But get a spotter. We don't want any deaths around here. Lynn

Hey Cliff I can do Texas. Love that flint down there for knapping. How about that Flint Ridge material in Ohio? purdy purdy.. And those Ranch Agates and jaspers in Texas. Been reading the old threads on Texas agates, Rios, and jaspers? We have all been revisiting them and with Mel and James insight have made more people interested. Getting the winter pretty well planned? The trip out one way and the return east another route. Rocks line your path.. I'm sure you'll figure that one out next. Lynn

The gray matrix looks the same as some chrysocolla & azurite on matrix that I found at an abandoned copper mine in AZ. The matrix is fairly fine-grained, so it cuts well. To me something in matrix is often better than something by itself. The green in your photo is different than anything I found. BTW, you should wipe off the drool before phootgraphing it. Lynn

Tommy, What's the stone in the last picture? Wingate Pass Plume? Man, if it is, that's a huge piece. Is this the new way RTH works with pictures stored on the site? Thumbnails & click? I tried to quote your post & didn't see the photos in the quote. Am I missing something? Lynn

I was a vendor at the Durango, CO Gem & Mineral show last weekend. A guy came to my booth & addressed me by name. I realized I hadn't introduced myself. Then the ol brain kicked in & I realized it was coloradocliff . He is an actual human, not a thread posting bot. And a nice guy too. He gave me some rock goodies & even bought some rough from me. Thanks, Cliff.
