Got my bundle of baby love yesterday and am vey happy with the lil nobs of adventure! Found me a plastic pail, some water, and baptized the babies so I could see their Innards shine. Man, purity stuff! Now I,m thinking of polishing a bunch of them for a display case for the next show filled with dozens of little drops of color. Thanks beef for all!

On Monday the 7th I sent boxes to Alisha in GA (newbie box) and they arrived on Wednesday. That same day I sent a box to Mel, and that has arrived as well.
Beefjello sent out his box of baby Lagunas to me on Tuesday the 8th. I received them yesterday.
Mel sent me a box either yesterday or the day before (haven't checked tracking) and am expecting it tomorrow.
A couple years ago i had a box from Tony (Catmanwe) disappear completely. Don't have any clue where it went. He resent me another box with similar stuff (unfortunately the better stuff was in the first box, but he did a great thing resending another box without cost to me. (thanks tony)
Another time a while back I came home and had a P.O. small sorting bin sitting on my front porch filled with rough rock and the tattered, destroyed remnants of a FRB. It look like it blew out in transit.
Don't know if this helps, but it lets you know that I had boxes both going and coming on the 8th that made it through - but all of them were traveling much farther south than yours. Weather issues?

Hey Helen!
Just wanted to say that I think it's awesome that you're willing to try this experiment. As to its success - I'm staying neutral. I don't see the exact results seen in Krystee's stone, but I do see the fracturing. It's just hard to see for me.
But cool work! If you do more, please show!

Box is in the mail and reinforced with even more and more tape.
Tracking: 0311 0820 0002 5721 1449
At least that better be the box, or you all might be tracking the one I sent to Mel...
Oh, I checked the tracking on line but the number doesn't appear to be in yet. How long does not take for that to appear? If need be, I'll post a photo of the receipt.

Okay - the photos: Got the box: Opened the box: Saw a lil box with my name on it from Helen. She knows I've been eyeing her water droplet and we've been talking about a trade... I opened it up and wow! I love it! Started pulling out pieces and chunks from the box: Keeping: (realized after I packed the box back up that I missed the other two shells which were under some paper - so I apologize - i got them all. I hope my donations work in their stead.) Pulled out a box with the glass art: And found mine: Took shells for my daughter. two of the lakers that I can do my contour polishing on: Saw the opals but did not take one: Pulled out the bags of rough - and (I'm sorry) Helen - I upgraded a little - hope you don't mind: Taken out: And then I started adding pieces: Some face polished specimens - labeled: Three pieces of variscite: Some fire agate rough and two cut Agate Creek nodules: And some special additions: soft carving stone: howlite can't get softer than that.... A piece of crazy lace for mattaya Cut t - eggs for Blackout or anyone else who wants them. two hauser and 1 baker egg. Cut utah nodule I've heard called a coprolite. International Tumbling Rough: Same bag - looking from both sides: Three petrified limbs that you should be able to polish the ends and see ring patterns or agate: and the agate index files - on disc and stick ---- please download from either source and replace back into the box. Showing where I placed them: disc in with slabs and stick in with glassware: Final packing - with the small box for Alisha on top - two small contour polished stones from my collection. If you don't want them - pass them on! I added bubble to the top and taped the thing up good! NOTE: Don't unload the whole box. Take one small section out at a time, examine it, then return that portion back into the box. It will keep it organized and compact. I hope I did okay. enjoy! Lowell

Nobody tells me what to do!!! Nobody!!!
uh...except my wife....
and my daughter...
and...well, my boss...
Ah, heck....nevermind...
Still - as my daughter says in first grade - you get what you get and you don't throw a fit. If you don't like what I send, you can pass it on. I know someone will take it....somewhere... Besides, I gotta thin out the garage somehow, else the next big one (earthquake) is going to bury me.
;D

Looks to be Spiderweb Rhyolite/Jasper from Oregon.
(Shameless plug) See 2012 Agate Index Vol 2 Northwest - pg 299.
Check and see.

Hey Beef - I'll take Box #4 (and if you allow two boxes - box 1.
I'm loading up on these guys for my classroom = plus I have a need to play with some new agates....
If you think that is too greedy, then just Box #4.
Thank you,
Lowell

Received yesterday - found today when I went out my front door! See what happens when you leave and go via the garage... Now I am taking pictures as I dig through these treasures!
And what was amazing - I didn't need to look up the tracking once since Helen mailed it!!!!! (thanks Dora!)
(Helen - thank you for the little wrapped package. It is as beautiful in person as it is on your website! I showed my wife and she held it in her hand with an admiring smile. Seriously, it is playful yet exquisitely fashioned at the same time. Perfect for me!)
Will post photos later today of the slow unveiling!

Hey Y'all! Just a real early heads up. The Ventura/Oxnard/Conejo clubs are hosting this year's CFMS Show Fri-Sun May 31 - June 2nd. I would love to be able to set up an get together! I haven't been able to get out into the field much this year and am cringing at missing the Arizona rock hunts....but maybe a few of us SoCal and NoCal folk can get together to talk and gawk. Here's the link: www.cfms2013.com/Lowell

Arrgh. Thanks Bob for the correction.
COPCO not Copco. I checked my notes and see that I have 'cattle' and 'pacific' written down. Don't know where those came from, but you're right. My entry is wrong. I'll correct my master copy and note the thread.
Let me know if you catch anything else.
(I'm not changing the file for a while. I'll see if anyone else can catch mistakes - like my miswriting Don as Dan in the credits - and I'll do it at one time.)

Wow!!! 48 downloads in less than 24 hours. Thanks everyone for the support.
John, I do apologize about one thing. I was going to mention you at the end of the file where I put the Final Comments and totally spaced. I truly thank you for keeping the files alive while I struggled to find a solution.

Presently sitting in the waiting room at the local Jeep dealer...
I don't understand about the price. Mel downloaded a version without having to pay. Click on the Artists of Agate files and those come up as viewable as well. I know the larger ones should be downloadable even if you can't see the files. The button is located in the upper right, if my memory is right. Meanwhile, I am using the system for free and am not paying anything to store the files, so maybe there was something overlooked.
Is there anyone else coming across similar problems? I appreciate any update on your experiences using this.
Please let me know as I am trying to refine the whole sharing process.
Also - there will be a mailing list created where people can get the files via snail mail on a disc. They would then resend the file to the next person on the list. I will be adding a thread under GENERAL to initiate that process.
Thanks all for any and all feedback.
