Guns are pretty much a non issue these days.
No candidate is trying to take anyones guns away. Everyone who runs for office acts as if they've been a gun owner and hunter all their lives; they raise their children to hunt and they can skin a Buffalo with one hand tied behind their back. They believe everyone should be required to carry a gun at all times, even in scholl. Well, some resistance to that one in Colorado. Even if you were for gun control, you are now against it. If you previously testified in a court of law that the second amendment clearly states "well-regulated militia" you don't remember ever using those words before.

I use 22GA for most pendant backings, but with the price of silver I agree with the group here and will probably try 24 and 26ga I have only made wire bracelets and it depended on whether it was twistthicker) or woven(thinner). In both cases I have practiced in copper first
Good luck charlie

Absolutely unique and one of a kind. I'll bet there are a lot of wealthy McMansion types who would pay good money for a one of a kind porch or entryway. Start advertising in Scottsdale!

They are very creative!
It is very hard to compete with mass production when it comes to crafts. It is also hard to compete when many of the raw materials are free or relatively inexpensive if you value your time!
I try to make unique pieces but I just give mine away as gifts.
I will try to come up with some variations on what you've done here
I am putting two pieces into a local art and crafts show in january and they will be for sale. I have hopes! charli

Fascinating!
From the responses...It still is not clear to me if this is legal in the USA.
Anyone know for sure?

Boys, boys, boys
You can cling to all the straws you want ..when the Wall Street Journal (owned by Rupport Murdoch) jumps on the bandwagon and its not about a Liberal...the story is worth a look or two
Personally, most Dems salivate over the possibility or Newt or Herman running as they cannot be elected dog cather in the USA. Most of the leaked stories about these guys come from your side, not mine

Newt fits in very well with the group that lies and denies and blames everyone else. Even when they get caught on tape.
such as...His own adultery while blaming Lambasting Democrats is legendary such as...When Newt Gingrich was asked in the November 9 CNBC presidential debate what he did to earn $300,000 from mortgage giant Freddie Mac, Gingrich claimed: "I said to them at the time, this is a bubble. This is insane. This is impossible..
here is a piece of Gingrich's Freddie interview ( This group might dismiss it as a hoax but since the source is this mornings Wall Street Journal I would guess this is acceptable to even the FoxNews Crowd) The Wall Street Journal reports yesterday on a 2007 interview, which had appeared on Freddie Mac's website, in which Newt Gingrich said broadly nice things about the government-backed mortgage giants.
GINGRICH: So while we need to improve the regulation of the GSEs, I would be very cautious about fundamentally changing their role or the model itself.
Q: This is not a point of view one normally associates with conservatives.
GINGRICH: Well, it's not a point of view libertarians would embrace. But I am more in the Alexander Hamilton-Teddy Roosevelt tradition of conservatism. I recognize that there are times when you need government to help spur private enterprise and economic development. Look at our own history. The government provided railroad land grants to encourage widespread adoption of what was then the most modern form of transportation to help develop our country. The Homestead Act essentially gave land away to those willing to live on it and develop it. We used what were in effect public-private partnerships to bring telephone service and electricity to every community in our nation. All of these are examples of government bringing about desired public purposes without creating massive, taxpayer-funded bureaucracies. To me that is a pragmatic and effective conservative approach
FYI - GSE is short for Government Sponsored Enterprise. In this case Freddie Mac

Glad everything turned out okay.
I replaced my wood fireplace in my family room downstsirs with a gas fireplace insert. Only electricity is the fan since it uses a pilot light. Much cleaner than wood. nowhere near as inexpensive.
My next door neighbor uses a wood stove for at least 75% of his heat and the oil furnace for the rest. I have a taker for all my tree trunks!

Mel, You might want to use a factchecker when it comes to energy taxes.
"our delightful government taxes each gallon 15% plus state and local taxes."
Unless I'm mistaken, our Government taxes each gallon of gas around 5%. The Government gets 18.4Cents out of 350cents per gallon.
I also think that making a 4% profit on gasoline in the type of quantities and prices we are talking today is a dream come true and amounts to quite a haul for energy companies.

Mel, Why is it that you cannot stick to the point? Where is this nonsense about tree hugging coming from? What is this nonsense about asking business to break even coming from? Where am I asking for business to give extra profits away? You let your imagination run away from reality. Investing money does not make you a Corporate Whore, but making excuses for corporate misdeeds does. Blaming Obama for regulating companies and industries that have created some of the biggest Environmental disasters when both Republicans and Democrats agree that regulation (of pipelines) is necessary for our protection does..
You are not the only person who worked his whole life. You are not the only person who worked to get an education. I put myself through college; Can you say the same? I have worked my whole life. I have raised children and I got no help from anyone, but I imagine most of the people on this forum can say the same thing. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, these things are nothing extraordinary.
I am anything but anti-business and as I stated before I am for building all the pipelines the country needs. I don't hug trees, (except the petrified ones and the ones with those lovely cherry blossoms).
America is not falling behind in energy development. We are doing more energy exploration than ever before. We do not know if fracking will destroy water wells and fresh water aquifers on a massive scale, but I'd hate for the Government to wait until a crisus before looking into what is going on. And I dont think destroying someones environment to make someone else rich should be done willy nilly. I am not a tree hugger or a minnow lover but I do think that peoples rights to live a peaceful life and live on their own farm should trump someone elses rights to destroy it. And that requires regulation. I am the first to shake my head at beaurocratic nonsense and regulations that screw the economy or someones right to make a buck, But that does not mean that someone can walk all over me or my rights.

Ahh Mel ... you and all the other Corporate Whores just do not get it. You are right to say that "Business' function is to make money" but lets see, people don't need to make money, only business? who is the clueless one?
You talk about pipelines being pretty darn safe. I certainly agree that they are pretty darn safe, but, they just spilled oil into the Yellowstone River. Yes pipelines are pretty darned safe, but pretty darned yucky when they aren't. This isn't the Cuyahoga in Cleveland in 1969 we are talking about, we are talking about Yellowstone. Pretty darn safe is good, but not as good as we would like it to be. I'd like to see more pipelines. I doubt that most Americans would be as comfortable as you having one in their backyard, unless they get some tangible benefit from it. After the oil spill in Kalamazoo in 2010 both Republicans and Democrats tried to pass pipeline safety legislation in both the House and The Senate. Those damn Republican Green Commies are doing it again aren't they? But lets blame Obama for asking for pipeline safety. Let's trust the energy companies to do the right thing when there is a buck to be made.
