gemfeller that should be just fine. As long as you're not giving anyone your bank account username and password, they can't access your account. I did have to reverify my information on my Square account because they have to send out 1099-Ks, but I didn't have to re-do the small deposit thing. I recall doing it a couple of times so it seems pretty bulletproof to me. But I'm not as astute business-wise as some other members here. I think I did it with PayPal and one other account. No problems I'm aware of. With that method I really don't see the need for a burner account, but I'm always open to suggestions from wiser heads.

Along these same lines, PayPal is stepping in it now, lol. They recently sent out notices of new changes to their AUP. Not sure of all the details, but their users were not happy and started closing their accounts in DROVES!! So PayPal does what any woke company (or the WH) does these days, they walked it back, and said the notices had been sent out in error. They thought they'd slip their changes in with no fanfare, and people would not notice. But they got caught, then backpedaled. From the Epoch Times today “An AUP notice recently went out in error that included incorrect information. PayPal is not fining people for misinformation and this language was never intended to be inserted in our policy,” a PayPal spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email. “Our teams are working to correct our policy pages. We’re sorry for the confusion this has caused,” the spokesperson added. The company in September announced that it was amending its acceptable use policy, or AUP. PayPal Reverses Course, Says Company Will Not Seize Money From People for Promoting ‘Misinformation’I haven't used my PayPal account in awhile, I'll be deleting it shortly! Go woke, go broke!

I read the article a couple times, and the quote from the AUP seems incomplete. Since paypal is strictly a payment portal, the list has to be a list of items for sale, not communication of info or social interaction. With that bit missing from the Epoch times quote I have to wonder what else was omitted to make a juicier story that panders to their readers, pretty typical of that publication. If Scott Adams sees a problem with anything other than the "damages" part perhaps there was something omitted in the article, and clearly the PP response must mean something. I suppose you could switch to venmo... Oh, wait...

Lee Rockoonz - I'm sure there is more to the story. I'm not all that familiar with Epoch Times, and the quality of their reporting. Truth be told, I was trying to put together info from a couple sources. I gleaned enough info to sift out the truth, and PP is acting shifty. They did not handle it well when they were caught trying to sneak in the changes. You seem to have a handle on it, come to your own conclusions. But, I'll still close my PayPal account, since I don't use it anyway. If someone else has a problem with taking my debit or credit card, or a direct wire transfer from my bank, then they don't need my money very badly, is how I see it. They more likely are doing me a favor, lol.

Looks like an old Covington(?) design except built twice as good with 3X more steel as my 2015 model 18 inch. Trades rock ! Money in the bank Rockoonz. Wish I had a 100 like it. We struck a decision to go into the retirement account and buy a boat load of steel bowls and steel covers back in early 2020 when steel was 1/3 the cost. The investment pleasured us quintuple with both 'numismatic'(after adding a base) and commodity value increases in only 1 year's time. Should have tripled the initial investment ! hindsight/foresight...after almost 5 decades of an irresponsible lifestyle the retirement fund needed the boost. PS Looks like a dust storm from hell in that photo.

The "sawbuck" comment was a grandfatherly pun that may have gone over all the younguns heads. The Investment in steel on your part was genius. I'm scrounging through surplus and stuff I have to cut apart to use, and still paying more than I did for new steel at the yard 5 years ago. Good thing my needs are relatively tiny compared to yours. It was really a moderate dust storm, recent rains are packing the surface down some so the winds move a lot less of it. It isn't fun when those hit and I really want to finish one more thing before I go in, just about racked a swinging door again.
