Curious if you took a chance on Plaid Tommy ? Geez, looking at getting a Plaid burner account, what a pain. No way - I let my account get suspended. Like I said earlier I have a burner account already but just out of general principle I will NEVER give Plaid a bank account number and password, period. I finally got my butt in gear and deleted my PP account today. Their site asked why I was deleting my account. I simply put - Get Woke, Go Broke. I haven't used it in some time, anyways. You also have the option of having them delete you personal information. They will send an email to me when that part is completed.

Okay...you made me look it up! I'd never heard that before! How does it compute in fins? 2 fins is a sawbuck.

How does it compute in fins? 2 fins is a sawbuck. Gut told me sawbucks was a unit of value but am confessing to not knowing the colonial meaning. Had to do the look up thing too. www.investopedia.com/terms/s/sawbuck.aspWe added on to the house and had about a dozen contract owners/workers pass thru trading pits for services with most of them. Trades like that work well for both parties no doubt. Tax that one Mr. Govt ! I developed a friendship with the 65 year old sales manager(similar age/interests) at the tank head company over a 10 year period. He would sell me defective units for 50 cents per pound. To keep it 'secret' I had to buy the whole lot when they came up. Could be 12, could be 120 units, whatever the quantity I would get them off his hands. Well, he retired 6 months ago and that gig seems to be ending. Unfortunately the other 50% of the bowls had always had to be purchased at non-scrap/full pricing. In Florida steel is never cheap and scrap is like finding green garnets; Atlanta just has a lot of steel being tossed and scrap is common and cheap. Fran Tom saws are mentioned on RTH regularly. Must be a saw on the quality level of the Highlands. That unit looks well built. New bearings and a good motor makes those old units sing.

jamesp What is the exchange rate between a PitCoin and a RockCoin Pound for pound ? Naw, them Oregon rocks are worth way more than any chunk of steel amygdule. Hard to put a price on finding rock treasures on a beautiful beach.

You also have the option of having them delete you personal information. They will send an email to me when that part is completed. Always try the new fandangled cancel culture trick Jean. These companies don't want to have their clients terminate their services. Betcha they are willing to get around their demands if you lay a cancellation threat on the line. I'll be contacting ETSY for a security threat negotiation. They have an email based communication port that responds quite fairly. Forget the phone, you'll never contact ETSY or a million other internet based companies via voice ! If you do want to make money with an internet business talk to your clients. Post your phone number on your website. Most clients go into shock and open their billfolds when comforted about their purchase interests over the phone. Same often works in the other direction for service providers. Crazy sterile world out there.

A Biden mask would have gotten them killed instantly. To reduce sales rate I have increased prices to slow sales if we(Mom and Pop) can't keep up. It happens and did happen in our case. Sounds like a good problem IF you want to have a large operation. Certainly not if you want to stay small. It is the internet and you never know if you are going to get overloaded with sales. The increases in computer controlled administrative duties are easy to handle, but building more product is demanding. Hiring more people is a bad idea since few work. Plaid's services may allow ETSY to downsize staff and/or work less. ETSY doesn't build products and their computers don't care if they have 1 million or 10 million customers. The workload is probably not much different for the employees either way. In this day less employees is the only way to go. This "take it or leave it" approach may force many ETSY sellers to leave. Many of these sellers primary income is ETSY and they need to stay a member. Doubt ETSY could care less in any case and this may be their business plan. Traits of this new country and the effect of computerization: 1)Of course this country has become a population of middlemen with no manufacturing. China builds it, we make the big money by distributing and selling it. China is getting smart and are getting more money for their products. As we are finding out they will have the final control. I get at least one request from an online middleman/dropshipper per week asking for wholesale prices. Like really wholesale pricing. 2)Computer based monetary systems can be brutal and controlling. Reduce staff so that a select few can make truckloads of money. Reduce the need for human involvement so the wealthy owners can play and spend their big money. Clever philosophy but cruel to the masses. Meantime fine US made products and skills to make them disappear. ETSY's 'reminder' to "to keep our community safe, reduce fraud, and meet evolving legal requirements".

Sales have picked up unusually(since the Covid spree) on large expensive units in the past month. It is probably clients with money that know the economy game. The news said people are spending heavily now due to predicted increased inflation rates.(spend it before it inflates) Who knows, may be an indicator.

rockpickerforever What are the alternatives to PayPal? Anyone? Seems to me most of the options are controlled by pretty much the same group of Woke billionaires. PP owns Venmo and most of the payment services seem to have interlinked corporate tentacles. I'm looking for one that operates fairly and independently.

I have to use PP to send my granddaughter college money or I would get rid of it. This is pure BS. At their sole discretion they want to rob our accounts.
