I won? You're kidding me right? Wow!!!! Thank you so much! I can't believe I was that lucky. Usually I can't even get a winning instant lottery ticket. That is one beautiful machine, especially with the RTH sticker on top. Jamie and Rodney, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into this. While I might not be the most deserving, having only done 15 cabs so far, I am certainly as appriciative as anyone could be. I found out about this last night when I opened up my box o rocks from Burro Creek (thanks to all you who helped pack those, great looking stuff) and had trouble sleeping because I was soooooo excited. I just have one question though, who wrote "You won the cabber! Jerk!" on the inside of the box. LOL
I've already found a good home for my (now) old cabbing machine. I am giving it to a deserving RTHer. Spread the love.
Sands, looking at some of the huge rocks in invisibletom's pics its no wonder you threw out your back.

WOOOHOOOO, I had a BALL!!!!
I just got home about an hour ago. I had to stop in Kingman and buy new tires for the trailer, the old ones were getting a little squishy. They searched my trailer at Hoover Dam, thought I was a terrorist with explosives, I was half expecting to get a ticket for having over 250 lbs of rocks, but they just looked at me funny and told me to have a nice day!
Thanks Jamie and Rodney for being such wonderful hosts and the guides worthy of being in the Intergalactic Rockhounders Guide Association.
Jeff, that last day we found some jasper finally!! I got a boulder about 50 lbs or so, its a beaut!! I will post pictures later, I still have to unload my gear. Put me on the list for the next trip to the Western parts of the states!!!
It was great to meet everyone, it was a blast.....................Tony

Well, its a good thing I was not in charge of getting pictures, because I musta been way too busy to take very many. I did get a few. Here is Jeff (Skipper) doing his Arabian Captain Morgan impersonation Lunch on the first day (left to right Joe, Jamie, Taz, Steve) John (Sandsman) showing off one of his finds Off in the distance it looks like snow, but it is really mine tailings One of the super cool sunset photos On the way home, the clouds made an ASL (American Sign Language) sign for "I Love You" so my dad got this shot out of the pickup

To Tony Terner...it is indeed a mystery who wrote that on the inside of your box, but I can tell you than Tony (catman) and I were laughing our arses off as we wrote it. All the best from Canada and Idaho :-)
Jerk!

Well I sure am glad we had a photo journalist with us cuz between you and me Tony, we sure didn't get many pics. The pic your dad took is just way too cool. It was great to meet you and your dad and I'm glad you got new tires for your trailer. I'm surprised they were able to jack the trailer up to get the wheels off! Okay, more rock pics. Until I get my boxes in the mail, this is all I have to show. I had to pay $25 for my suitcase being 12lbs over the limit. 2 pieces I collected; the larger nodule is the rootbeer agate I cut the cab from. Nice chunk Brian brought out there from home for me. Some small slabs ready to cab from Brian Slabs from snowdog 3 pieces of tigereye from snowdog Some pieces from the agate pile The agate pile is awesome! There is some really nice pieces to be had there. I only had time to gather half a bucket, so it only cost me $25, a deal that can't be beat.

Haha I finished knitting 3 scarves from the beginning to end of the trip (car ride included) no sleeping bags though, maybe later ^.^ Must keep busy. Arizona was so much fun! I wasn't sure what to expect at first, but it was awesome XD. And now I am totally obsessed with rocks. Everyone was so nice also and I was given so many lovely rocks (I began cabbing a couple, but got distracted >.< so they are only 1/2 finished). Plus adventuring in the desert was a blast. Thanks so much to everyone who came up, the company was lovely.

It was the best time ever!! Thank you so much, Jamie and Rodney, for hosting a bunch of crazy rockhounds! (Idea firmly planted in my head when Tony 'planted' the fire with the upright wooden pallet in one piece for a desert bonfire....man, have I led a sheltered life!)
You'll have created 2 confirmed rockhounds in Gabbi and her friend Joe. Gabbi came home and has freaked out a number of her 'city' friends by showing off her finds by giving it a big lick with her tongue and holding it up for inspection with a big grin on her face...(thanks for THAT influence, Steve!! Ewww....)
I know it was a huge bunch of work for our wonderful hosts, organizing, setting up a shower fergawdsake, all the food, and just all the gazillion things involved.
I loved meeting everyone. Great people, all!
~Dee ...reluctantly off to work. At least my body. My mind is still in the desert!

LOL. Well Gabbi and Joe aren't the only one who has been influenced by steve's new amazing wonder to just casually lick a rock to see what treasure lays just under.. I too somehow have caught myself unknowingly until I tasted the grit in my teeth that I licked not one but a few rocks while I was out there.. even with my spray bottle on my side.. what caused it? At first I thought it was the heat.. then maybe hunger ..but then I realized it was good ol steve.. Nice going steve.. ugh.. lol.. Oh by the way.. that Rock bag you made.. TOTALY ROCKS!!! you put Martha Stewart to shame and I got to give you a high five on that amazing talent.. So glad I won something.. and that's what I was wanting too.. woohooo!! will put it to use no doubt.. Hey Gabbi... Where's the boyz?? You gotta tell Joe to get his finds posted on here too.. He's a natural no doubt!! Dee your daughter and her friends are so cool .. was a pleasure to meet them and you too.. until next hunt!!! Laterz.. *smiles* Roxy
