That's a good point, Steve. What have you found with yours? I've found many gold nuggets, some coins, tokens, a few meteorites, some very interesting artifacts, etc. I've also found lots and lots of of junk too but that comes with the territory since they will sound off on anything metallic. I am by no means saying you will find all those things at Burro Creek but I've been doing it long enough to know you just never know what you might find in a given area until you search it with a detector. That whole area has been inhabited for hundreds years if not longer and we don't really know much about the history of it other then the fact it produces good agates. The point I'm making is why not search for metallic items while searching for rocks also? There's absolutely no guarantee you'll find anything of value but on the other hand- you just might be pleasantly surprised. Steve

Well ya know the second time around should be even better than the first .. I'm guessing since both of the tour guides found MORE Locations since then .(inside information) lol.. But Now you got me heading back out there with my metal dector .. since I don't have to wait till next year .. I just gotta find me a meteorite just gotta!!!.. just to have one... But I think snowdog might of panned out all the gold already from there from what I heard lol. But I'm sure you guys will all have a blast out there if you go next year.. that's if those two put it on again.. don't know.. But don't forget to always take extra water.. that's all I can offer in advice.. lol *smiles* Roxy

I just gotta find me a meteorite just gotta!!!.. just to have one... *smiles* Roxy Roxy: I don't know which state you live in but if it's out west- you probably live within a few hours driving time of a still producing meteorite strewn-field. They're not as easy to find as they once were but with a little hard work and some luck YOU CAN still find a meteorite with a metal detector. Meteorites have been found in most US states but are much easier to find in a desert environment then the grasslands of the Midwest and Eastern states for obvious reasons. If you're really interested- do a google search to find out if and where they have been found in your state and go from there. Here's a link to a forum on meteorite hunting. www.nuggetshooter.ipbhost.com/index.php?showforum=4Steve
