Jamie, you are awesome. What a trip. You and Rodney did a fantastic job of organizing this thing and guiding us. Thank you SO very much!
BTW, I have been spreading the word that you are bionic. Have you ever thought about trying to get on Survivor? Seriously! You'd have as good a chance as anybody I know to win the million. Everybody reading this, push her to apply! This woman is STRONG!

Yes they did!! I can't believe how great that turned out.. Have got to give thanks to rodney for that awesome shower he rigged for us .. that took camping to a whole new level.. Jamie's 5 star rated meals that put Betty Crocker to shame! and their ability to keep us all smiling during the whole time.. lol what a dynamic duo.. I'm so glad I got to meet all of you too..I haven't had such a pleasure to meet such friendly easy going people in a long time.... Survivor huh? hmm maybe so.. or the next Hilton bed and breakfast desert style.. lol jks.. either way.. Thanks you two for one hella rocking camp. Here's my three favorite pics.. *smiles* This has got to be one of Jamies Arizona Markers right? lol Following the 4x4 trail to Agate valley I believe.. Sunset shared with a few new rockers.. before our night hunt.

Thank you Jamie and Rodney for putting on this great trip, I'm so glad I didn't decide to cancel out. It was good to be able to scratch a bunch of people off my list. The gas powered grinder was very cool, but you realize that you've started something now, you're going to have to make another to take to all of the future get togethers! I imagine you two are beat, you did a great job showing us out-of-towners where the good rocks are, and I appreciate it. Thanks again.

I just wanted to pop in to thank all you Arizona Infiltrators! First and foremost to Tony for the offer to take along addresses and flat raters (and coordinate filling them!) for all us unlucky souls who were everywhere but Arizona - wishing we were IN Arizona. But I also wanted to thank everyone who had a part in filling those flat raters! I'd say that the list Tony took wasn't a short one and so figure it took almost everyone there tossing some finds into those faceless boxes. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! I've been home sick for the last two days (in the real world people share GERMS with me, on this board, people share ROCKS - guess who's winning THAT competition! ) and today I was surprised to find my flat rater from Burro Creek. Talk about making a girl forget she's feeling like crap! Nothing like a little rock grit in your mouth to make you feel better in a hurry! Anyway - just wanted to thank everyone for their help in filling the boxes - with an extra big thanks to Tony for putting it all together for those of us who couldn't make the trip! Once again, RTH generosity brightens another day! (I don't think I mentioned it - but this stuff looks like it's going to be FUN - and unlike anything I have so far!!!) ;D You guys ROCK! oh yeah - CONGRATULATIONS TONY!!! You too Mitzi! AWESOME prizes!

Well, I feel like I was kinda the oddball. Lone Canadian. Not a "rabid poster" :-). But I looove rocks, so I went. Many cautioned me against meeting up with strangers I met on the web.
However, I did not meet strangers. I met family. Stoner commented that he was surpised the "waterworks" didn't start during the good-byes. I was surprised too. But they came later. It was very hard to leave, because it strains bonds that were created very strongly in a short period of time. Every person who went holds a special place here in my heart. I miss the camaraderie..sitting around the campfire in the morning with hot chocolate and a danish.
Filling flatraters for others was a pleasure. I haven't met many of the people on this board, but the sentiment is all the same - we care about rox, and we care about each other as people. Thank you for giving me a home away from home.
And of course, big thanks to our hosts, Jamie and Rodney.
Stay tuned for more info...I was the self-designated photo journalist and after 160 pix I lost count. Going to have to cut that down a bit...

I want to add my thanks to all of you who helped fill my FRB. I started giggling even before I opened it today- it was already splitting a little at the corners! And what beautiful rocks! Ohmygosh. White and rose and peach and blue (not all necessarily in the same rock). My daughter has already claimed one as her own, although she has agreed to let me tumble it first. I've never seen stuff like this. It's so smooth, it feels like there's soap on it. You guys must have hosed it off or something, there was much less dirt than I expected! ;D And thank you for no scorpions or tarantulas in the box, too! Thanks again to all who were there, and especially Tony for his idea to offer up the FRBs to those of us who couldn't go. These are some really special rocks. Amy

First...a great big THANK YOU to all of you wonderful RTHers who helped fill my FRB. It was so full to bursting that it did!!! The main Post Office in Tampa had to tape it shut after stuffing paper to cover the opening in the bottom of the box. And the rocks and slabs inside were absolutely what I needed right now!!! The perfect pick-me-upper after the loss of my computer and all my files.
That all of you took time to think of all of us who couldn't be there is a tribute to just how great a Forum RTH is! Bless each and every one of you.
That said I also want to congratulate the winners and send special thanks to Jamie and Rodney for going above and beyond to help make RTH so very special!
Three cheers for everyone!!!

TONY! I told you not to fill them so full!
You should have seen him folks...if he had had a plunger, he would have used it to push more stones in. In fact, he got stabbed by one sticked out the side of one...so he took a hammer and knocked the edge off, sealed 'er up, and off it went. The packer master.

Well, now I feel like a dope. I had stopped reading the AZ trip thread a long time ago as it was killing me to not be able to go. And, now I see I could have gotten a FRB or two from the trip.
Next time, I will try to be a little more diligent with my thread reading.
I'm glad you all had a good time. The rock pix look great, but the joyful writing is the best. I keep telling myself, "Next time...."
