around. so i'm in .. gonna sell my liver on ebay oh wait i need that .. gonna sell my kidney on E-bay and will want a tent and my truck just incase there's bears or lions or something. I haven't decided if i'm going to take my little ones.. i want to.. but i also want to enjoy rock hunting.. lol..

and as far as Jamie and Rodney Going.. I've talked to her and she said she don't know if she's able to
go or not.. doesn't sound like it. but cross your fingers.. I might just be able to shove her in a duffel bag and toss her in the back of my truck with her dog and highjack them over .. lol we'll see.. you know
if we bribe her.. with promises of ice cream for breakfast.. I'm pretty sure we can get her to come.. LOL..

Hey Ed, if that's your schedule, then that will be mine too. I'm off that week and can be flexible in order to have some riders with me if they fly in to El Paso. Jamie, will you be going? That makes three to ride in the Green Burrito, (aka Ford Explorer.) Two more can ride albeit a tight squeeze with all the sleeping bags, tools and such. Let me know if anyone else wants to ride with us.

Roxy, You don't need a back window just a heavy jacket.Plastic looks good but don't duct tape it to the car. the tape comes off. Year before we were going down the road to WWR pulling our 5th wheel. we would see cows running as we went by them, then we saw horses running and didn't know why they where running.
came to a stop sign and looked out the back window and saw our rubber roof to the 5th wheel hanging on the side of the 5th. pulled over got on the roof duct taped it all up and off we went for about 10 miles before the roof was flapping again. Condor, what are you trying to do? Don't you remember last time? There were only 3 of us in Burrito and half the time we couldn't find Jamie with all the stuff in the back seat! Tight squeeze??? hahaha!

I got an e-mail from Jan Woodward this morning. She's excited about having us again this year.

The large cabin is already reserved and tenters from our group will be allowed to setup camp in the cabin area (Jan doesn't allow tenting up by the cabins any more but is making an exception for us). Jan has asked that we "take it easy" on the septic system. There is also camp sites available down by the RV park with bathroom and shower as well.

Also, Jan has asked that we do not use saws to cut up material before purchasing.... can't say that I blame her really...

WOOOHOOO I CAN'T WAIT!!! Hey I still haven't heard any word from the two newly weds.. but yeah i'm a positive Go.. so put me down for a Tent party.. do we pay per person? or per tent?

When I first got hooked on rocks, it was with a lady I worked for that had a house at Terlingua Ranch. She was a serious rockhound ad we spent a day at Woodward ranch and she taught me a little about rocks. First time I ever saw anybody lick a rock and I thought that was the grossest thing I had ever seen. By the end of the day, I had forgotten how gross it was and was licking almost everything I picked up.

I got stopped by the border patrol on the way home and they wanted to look in my trunk. Guess since the T-Bird was a lot lower in the back than the front they thought I was hauling illegals. They opened the trunk and looked at me like I was totally insane. Trunk was full of rocks, cactus and west Texas dirt. One of the agents said "Don't ya'll have enough rocks, cactus and dirt in Medina without have to haul all this back home with you?"'

That was back in '95 and I think it high time I went out there again.
So, sign me up! Holy cow, now that I think about it, that was the last vacation I had. I'll do the tent thing. And no T-Bird this time,
heavy duty F250. Lot more room for rocks!

Hopefully, I can be there for the entire 7 days, but will let you know for sure as soon as I figure it out. No problem taking time off. Problem will be how much $ I can relieve my savings account of.
