Jo, take your time and let the warm weather appear. The deadline is the end of February. If you have the will to participate, cold weather should be your last concern: if you don't have warm weather 'till the end of Feb, you could send them even later. After all, green leaves appear in spring, don't they Adrian

Hi Adrian, I sorted through my stones and found two neat little green glass tumbles. I don't know if they can be grooved - not sure if glass will tolerate that grind - but I'll send them anyway. You can always just let them rest on the ground as even green leaves fall from the tree at times. I'm also going to send some stones or a slab that you can cab to your heart's content! I finally measured out a design with your specs and suddenly I think I am glad that I don't cab!!! ;D ;D ;D My gosh! But they are tiny!!!! I don't know how all of you cabbers are managing such tiny leaves but I do want to say: "You all leave me in awe at your artistry and abilities!!!!" ;D Kate

Raqui and Susan, thank you for joining! Susan, you don't have to cut the groove, just make the "leaves" as you see above, making sure you leave a "groovable" border of about 5 mm thick. I'll do it. Adrian

Thank you for joining in, Ed - Stoner! Ed just sent me a PM and told me he will participate with two leaves, so you folks have another very good reason to participate: the chance of winning a tree having a leaf cabbed by Stoner himself is not something to miss Adrian

Adrian, just sent 12 vibed, ungrooved leaves to Titania. They're between 20 and 25 mm. Just use what you can. Cheers! Jo

Ok, I'm really excited. I have not yet been able to set up my newly acquired cabber so Titania (bless her heart) has again offered to assist me and let me use hers. So I went out in a sunny 30 degree day and preformed 11 leaves and I am going to Titania's tomorrow to polish them up. Yipee!!!!!!! if more than 2 come out good, I'll donate the extras to others who don't cab so they can enter in the naming contest.

Tony, they look great, like wind-blown! I like the shapes you came out with. I also hope they're not too big, as your photos have no scaling at all. Adrian PS. See, folks, this is not so difficult! Keep'em coming

I have 3 sets of two leaves for anyone who does not cab or tumble but wants to participate and compete in the tree contest. I will accept the first three to pm me.
I want to thank Titania as she is the one who finished all but 2 of the preforms I did so that they could be donated.

I sent my two little glass tumbles to Titania - they can be used as "fallen" leaves since they don't quite have the shape of a leaf. And special thanks to Sitnwrap who "gave" me two of her "real" leaves so I can "hang" with the rest of you, too. This is such a neat project!! Can't wait to see the final outcome!! Lady B

This is going to be a real special prize. Fallen Leaves, wind-blown leaves, regular hanging leaves...it's all going to have a really special meaning to whoever wins it. I've got to get working on some leaves. I have them cut and shaped; now I have to polish them. These have got to be the smallest stones I've ever worked. Steve

Put me down for at least 2 leaves. I will see how much fingernail I have left after those 2.
