Fantastic knife Adrian! To think it's all handmade is mind boggling. I love the entire knife Adrian and the knife as a whole is fantastic but you know the one part that draws my attention the most? I love that Hawk's head bolster. A stroke of genius. (Not that the whole knife isn't)

I agree with Curt. The whole handle looking like a bird just amazed me. I can't write as eloquently as others, so I'll just agree with all their praises! Thank you soo much for sharing your techniques and showing the journey.

Folks, I think now we need a woodworker for the mount, and a leather expert for a scabbard. I so wish I could see that in person, but I really doubt they will allow it on the plane! LOL!

Thank you so much again, friends! Curt, I am glad you like the hawk effect. I was kinda worried it would detract from the central theme - the metheorite, but I hope they complete to each other, high speed being common to meteorites and hawks Karen, I WILL bring a knife in the plane: your husband, Tom,s knife - refurbished, which is next on my list. I hope they will accept it into the main luggage. Adrian

Gee Adrian that is a museum piece... Congatulations! You have outdone your self again... And you are hard to beat sir...lol You can take items in your check-in luggage that can't be carried on. I take a knife in my luggage as I don't like being the stranger in a strange land whithout something in my hand. Also like big bottles of shampoo and hand cream for the ladies. I take a geo-pick when I go to different parts of the country. I have carried on 50 #s of rock though. I was joking on the plane that I pitty any hijacker that got up with anything less than a gun. Most of them were perfect baseball size. :cheesy:

Thank you, Knave.
It looks just the same as you see in the pics here. And I still didn't build a stand for it, to be able to display it propperly.

Your abilities in art, stone work and metal work are phenomenal! Thanks for posting this with all the in-process photos. I don't know how I missed this before, but thank you Tommy for resurrecting the post for all to enjoy! adrian65, you could start your own arts/crafts school.

From 2012, 14 years ago, and I am still in awe. I've tried working with Stainless steel, and just that part is near impossible, much less all the rest of it.

adrian65 - OMG! This is one of the most "magical" threads I've seen on the forum! If I were to have only seen the pictures, I would have sworn this was made from Mithril...and constructed by Elvin hands!
