I started watching Michigan Rocks on YouTube and he mentioned this forum. I'm just starting to learn this art but have been a rock hound for many years.

I was searching on DuckDuckGo for the best grit to buy since I ran out of the Polly Plastics stuff I bought on Amazon.

I acquired my first rotary tumbler and started watching YouTube to learn. Rob at Michigan Rocks sent me here by posting a link on his video. I trust his advice, so here I am.

I found a couple rocks with druzy vugs after stage 1 of tumbling and wanted to know how to protect them through the other stages and my google search brought me here!

I was pointed here by a rock shop in Lincoln City, Oregon. I've never looked back. Best forum experience, amazing content and folks are outstanding.

Someone was mentioning it on Reddit. I'm new to rock tumbling. I've always liked polished rocks from a very young age. My nephew passed away this summer and I needed a distraction. I was camping by a river with all of the river rocks. I've always loved looking at river rocks. I did a little research and saw that Dallasite is specific to Vancouver Island so I thought I'd start collecting some of those to tumble. I bought a tumbler and have done 3 stages so far. Away from town so stage 4 is on hold. I think searching for rocks and tumbling will be the perfect distraction.

Hey all! I found this site from a fantastic rock tumbling faq/comment section on Reddit (s/o u/Emu-Limp). My 4.5 yo found rock tumbling videos absolutely fascinating (#satisfying on TikTok) which resulted in a NatGeo tumbling kit and some Polly Plastics grit as a recent gift from grandma and grandpa. I have a few questions and will try to find the appropriate thread/forum to post them. Looking forward to learning from y'all! StellarBlue
