Thanks jasoninsd, looks like a cool place to poke around, as long as it's not 100 degrees out (like it is here).
Cactus flower is pretty.

Yesterday was in the 70s, which is why I suggested we go during those temps. When it gets hot, it does seem to accentuate the heat. We've got a stretch into the 90s coming up...which I don't complain about since I know before I want it to be here, there'll be enough below zero temps...and I'll be longing for those 90 degree days! (Happens every year! LOL)

Got it - or at least USED to,
I'm originally from NY, and remember all too well the cold & ice, and show & shoveling snow ( boy I don't miss that !) 70's sound delightful right about now.

Better shot here on the lines. Gotta figure out how to cut them now that I have a tile saw. Also gotta learn how to use my rock polisher.

I have two 5 gallon buckets of them so will experiment cutting them over the next few weeks. Went to Teepee canyon and found some stuff too but not sure any of it is good.
Time will tell!

A lot of times you can't tell what's inside a Teepee Canyon nodule until you get it open/cut! Fingers crossed for you!!

I hope to get there again in October to search for a few more. We went a month ago but at the time I wasn’t sure what I should be looking for.

Several of them have "excavated" the river rock layer and separated them into size piles. I haven't been out to one in particular in quite awhile...I should see if I can get out there before the white stuff falls around here this year...

For finding fairburns, I’d argue it’s the best was to go about it.
