Hey folks! It’s been a long time since I did a contest here, so here we go. If all goes as planned I’m gonna give away a box of rocks a day until Christmas. All you gotta do to win one is guess (or come closest to) the answer to the question of the day. To be eligible you must be a member of the RTH forum at the time of this post. This contest is open to ALL members no matter where you are on the globe, however If you are an international member and win a box I may need help from you with shipping charges, so please keep that in mind. You can only win once! Also all boxes will go out the week after Christmas. Let’s get started! Box one has a number written on the sticky cropped from view. The number is between 1 and 99. What is this number? Each member gets 2 guesses. Pay attention to what other people guess, if there are multiple correct answers then the member who posted first wins the box. If no one guesses the exact number, then the one who comes closest without going over wins the box. Box 1 contest ends this evening at 5 pm Arizona time. Thanks and Good luck!

Thanks Tommy, just bought mine! Should go well with my rock bag from the BC Blitz Holy crap has it been 11 years already?
Hope to see you all out at Q! Awesome!! Well that was way before my time here so I can still say "first" right? hahaha Thanks everyone. Absotively you've made the first RTH Meet Up Event shirt that I know about! Above and beyond at that.. can't wait for mine! I wasn't trying to take anything away from your killer design, just thought I found a reason to show off the old Burro Creek Bag that Rocklicker made us way back then. Sounds like you've your hands full with the move and won't be able to make it this time. Hope things change between now and then. Been a while since we got to hang out together!

Hello All, I bought this limb cast probably 20 years ago from a private party, but never took a picture of it until tonight. It is my favorite limb cast and measures about 6-inches in diameter. It has an agate rind all the way around it that nicely shows the pattern of the bark. If anyone knows where this may have been found, please let me know (I would go a long way for another one like this one). Thanks for looking! Oh my!

Both are stunning! I'm with Pat, the sagebrush on the foothills has me drifting along in the tumbling tumbleweeds

My little contributions to this thread.. A cool and different little Tiffany slab that gemfeller gifted me a few years back.. I cut this cab from it A 6 lb beauty I bought from a member here years ago It just sits waiting for me to polish it. Bought this from an old Utah rockhound's estate long ago. I was told it's ore from a beryllium mine (bertrandite). Very heavy chunk (60 plus lb) and very purple. I have yet to cut it.. not sure I ever will.

It is not cheap. Also be aware that it is toxic. It is wise to use breathing protection as it is not good to inhale the beryllium that is integral to the stone. I have good luck selling Tiffany but have only ever gotten it through larger estate purchases so do not have a good handle on what it sells for on its own... Maybe check solds on e-bay to get an idea. Bill Yes! Be careful! My Dad died of beryllium poisoning. It is VERY toxic. I have some tiffany stone but won't cut it since my Dad died. Wow, sorry to hear.. that's scary!
