Thank you too, Rich. You deciphered Ed’s last name. That solved the puzzle. I can imagine him smiling down on us all.

I know this has been a tough week for everyone who knew and loved Ed. Here’s what I have found out.
Ed died of throat cancer. He stopped going home about 3 weeks prior to his passing. His brother in law thought maybe he had found a girl friend or something and wasn’t very concerned. About a week before he passed he came home, got a few things and left a very cryptic note. It was later discovered that he went into hospice and listed that he had no family or friends. This part is kinda hard to wrap my head around, but I believe he was just trying to spare anyone the financial burden. His brothers didn't find out for almost a week after he passed. His younger brother Mike is working to secure Ed’s remains. They intend to spread his ashes near Show Low where they grew up.

I wish Rich was wrong, but everything I've found is pointing to this. I drove out to see Ed a couple of hours ago. I’ve been trying to contact him through email the past couple of weeks, but he hasn’t responded. Ed had a little room at an acquaintance’s house on Polk street. When I arrived, Ed’s door was padlocked from the outside. I knocked on his door and the main door to the house for about 15 minutes off and on calling out his and the home owner's names. The owner of the house is eccentric to say the least. I have a feeling Tom was there, but he would not respond to me. Ed’s rocks and work station were there, right outside his door.. but no sign of him. I had also thought his last name was Arno from his “Rock ‘n Heart Pendant” business cards and what he had written on the board, but I believe Arno was his play on Arnaud. Ed was a word man after all. These things I got from Spokeo after seeing Rich’s post: “Edward John Arnaud, Age 66 Aka: Ed Arnaud Current Address: 3740 E Polk St, Phoenix, AZ Edward was born in June 1956.” I know Ed’s mom had lived in Litchfield Park, just west of me. A few times several years ago he would stop by and see us after visiting with her. She passed away a few years back. I believe this was her obituary. obituaries.westvalleyview.com/obituary/elaine-arnaud-1014600231He had also had told me stories about his dad Remo, and reminisced from back when they lived in Show Low. I hate to say it.. and I desperately hope I’m wrong, but I believe we’ve lost our friend.

I had a doctor's appointment at 11am on Dec 8 so I woke up and started to take a bath when I got really dizzy and decoded I needed to let my wife know I'm having a stroke. I did so, then went back and took the bath, but had a hard time getting out of the tub. I have no idea how I knew that and wish I had known more. I went back to bed and by then I was incoherent. Naomi called 911 and an ambulance crew hauled me to the Cedar City Hospital where they were able to dissolve the blood clot within the two hour window. Then I started having another series of blood clots as they hauled me to the St. George hospital and they tell me I became combative with everyone. When I became aware once more several days later they had a nurse with me at all times. Your Prayers worked. Other than a little vision problem with one eye I am back to where I was before the stroke - with home care for a while. 1dave Dave so glad to hear this news my friend!!

rockpickerforever Jean hang in there. I’m sorry to read everything that’s going on. It’s been a rough couple months here as well, and Christa’s having a major surgery tomorrow morning. I’ll be taking care of her as she would me, and as you’ve taken care of Bob as he will you. Bless you my friend. Brian, I'm taking a quote where Jean put it in another thread and putting it here: Quick note - I was released (paroled? from the hospital this afternoon). I've been home since around 4:30. Took them forevermore, but they finally got the discharge papers ready. The house is a mess, large 4 foot by 4 foot (or more!) holes jackhammered into the slab of the garage. We can live with it like this for a little while. Was good to hear from you Brian. I hope Christa's procedure goes well tomorrow. Make sure you get some much needed rest in advance. Sending love and prayers to both you, hoping everything goes well. Jean, it's good to hear you were released from the hospital today. rockpickerforever jasoninsd hummingbirdstones drocknut and rockjunquie we went in at 5 am yesterday morning. She had a bad section of colon that was about to rupture and had to be removed. We had to be prepared for a possible transfusion or an ostomy bag or even worse, but by 10 am the procedure was complete and the resection was successful! She is still at the hospital, hopefully they will release her tomorrow or Saturday. I got home late last night and was back first thing this morning. Thank you all for your thoughts and your prayers! rockpickerforever Jean sorry to highjack your thread, but glad to hear the growth is benign and not growing rapidly! Surgery is scary but I’m sure you’re in very good hands. I wish the very best for you and Bob both!!

You know...your pictures are always SICK! The clarity and color in all of them is tremendous! Are you taking these with a camera or your phone? Thanks again Jason. Sick means good right? I use both, a Samsung Android phone out in the field, and an old Cannon Power Shot A570 for my tailgate rock shots. Hope you have a great evening bud!
