My wife and I went to the Calgary Bull Sale & Agricultural Show and one of the first exhibits we stopped at was the breeding bulls. We went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said,
'THIS BULL MATED 50 TIMES LAST YEAR'
My wife playfully nudged me in the ribs ......smiled and said, 'He mated 50 times last year, that's almost once a week.'
We walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said, ''THIS BULL MATED 150 TIMES LAST YEAR'
My wife gave me a healthy jab and said, 'WOW~~That's more than twice a week ! ...........You could learn a lot from him.'
We walked to the third pen and it had a sign attached that said, in capital letters, 'THIS BULL MATED 365 TIMES LAST YEAR
'My wife was so excited that her elbow nearly broke my ribs, and said, 'That's once a day ..You could REALLY learn something from this one.'
I looked at her and said, 'Go over and ask him if every time was with the same old cow.'
My condition has been upgraded from critical to stable and I should eventually make a full recovery.

It is very hard to break, that piece came off of a smaller one. Not sure about iron stain maybe looks more red dirt stain. Smooth skin on most pieces sounds like good Pet Wood when hit it really rings!

Not Emerald! I know the difference have some and Emeralds are not that common in N.C.! I will try and get some pictures. I talked to the lady that collected it and there are 2 different types both came out of the Uwharrie National Forest 30 years ago or longer one is the one I had and I got the other today it is VERY hard rings like Pet. Wood when hit and almost black with white specks in it. I have not cut any yet but saw cabs made from it. She said that she did not think you was able to get it anymore.

Hi guys, I bought a large collection from a lady most was collected out west in Texas but she had a good bit of North Carolina stuff also and what she called N.C. Jade. It was collected a long time ago and she said very hard to find now. It is a dark green with some lighter green spots and a lot of flash when you move it it's about a good Jasper hard and takes a good shine. When cabbing gives off a milky color water. Big pieces most have a light brown skin on them. I cant find any info on it has anyone here ever ran across any! I will try and post some pictures. THANKS! Keith

Here are a few more pictures. James has REALLY got me hooked on the coral! Like he said it is hard to tell the hollows if nothing is showing. I am getting better at finding some.
