That's quite a walk from Kentucky. Roughly 1300 miles. Pack a lunch!

That's zebra agate, and I'm pretty sure you got it from Roy. He may have gotten it from Tony. Not from the Zapata trip.

That's some die hard surfers/surfing. At least they don't have to worry about sharks!
Good luck when you go rock hunting!

Nothing better than gaining access to a very old collection like that! Fantastic rocks and I hope that you get the chance to go back and pick through them again and again. I'd just make an offer on the entire lot were I there. Sabre52

Nice job Jean! But that looks like a bunch of work (time). They are, after all, just random thoughts. Kinda doubt there is anything too profound in there. Consider the source(s)

That wasn't a trap, it was an open door! Never pass on an opportunity to call a spade a spade

Dancing on the grave site of an RTH landmark ? <Shameless>. And it's clear you have zero clue to whom I refer. The reference I make is to an active member whom is perfectly capable of being offended for himself. :Snort: I hadn't planned on posting here, but... Did I say ONE effin' word about about any sort of "conspiracy theory" regarding the deletion of the thread? No, I did not. In fact, I posted: oh well... thanks for checking into it. Stuff Happens! Please quit going above and beyond in your efforts to be a douche.

Liz, ya gotta tumble coral! Jim likes to tumble the solid stuff, but I think that the bots are much more interesting when tumbled. Get Jim to post some of his tumbled coral pics or at least the link to his pages of photos. I've got extra 15 pound tumblers. I'll trade ya one when we can get together sometime, if you are interesting in tumbling. You mentioned coming down this way to visit your mom, where does she live near? I wouldn't go to Honeymoon Island for coral. Beautiful place, but not for coral. Have collected in Tampa Bay when there are dredging operations going on, but mostly I find existing collections to cherry pick. Have countless coral pictures, but most are hosted on photobucket - which doesn't work anymore for posting here. Need to spend a day transferring photos to new hosting site. Most of my collection is big (to huge) hollow pieces. Got a couple 55 gal drums of Tampa Bay coral as well. Hard to explain how much of this stuff I have (hoarder!). Here are just a couple for now that I do have hosted on new site. Little red wagon of coral scraps. Few hundred pieces in there. A couple of bots being tumbled - not finished (polished). Have a 15 lb barrel of these running polish stage right now. Jim has great pics of tumbled corals!
