Another update for anyone interested.Garden is constantly changing as the season rolls on.Everything is growing together,not room to walk hardly,love it!! Today,my Dad was born,102 years ago. I placed my garden over his,these are for him! Overview of 2/3 of the garden. In my 40 years of gardening,first time a bird has nested in a tomato plant.Baby Cardinals. Cucumbers,birdhouse gourds on the tepee Birdhouse gourds coming on,a good wintertime project Dipper gourds.All the trellises made with bamboo. Gourds,sunflowers,moonvines,morning glories covering the fences. Thanks for looking snuffy

Welcome!Lee county is 2 counties over from me.Same formation,the Catahoula,a band from Louisiana to Mexico,generally following the contour of the Texas coast.Much,much wood is in it!

My garden is growing wild now,canning pickles and tomatoes.Days beginning to be in 90's,70's at night.By July 1st,lots will be gone. First off,some of my tomatoes. Old fashioned petunias and row of tomatoes Cantaloupes,gourds,morning glories. Cantaloupes,watermelons Tepee of birdhouse gourds,trellises of cucumbers Beds of all kinds of melons Covered up a large tree stump Thanks for looking,all for now. snuffy

Jean,we have called these chicken snakes all my life. In the old days,when everyone in the country had chickens,these would raid the nests.If the chickens were protected with chicken wire,the snake would crawl through the wire,swallow some eggs,couldnt crawl back through,and was terminated.I don't have chickens,so they don't bother me!
