Tumbling is not for those in a hurry. Look how nicely they turned out!

I was wondering the same thing, and purposely payed attention to that at our clubs show this year. I think you are right about the western association, but I do associate the bola with the older generation. Say those now in the 70ish plus age range. I am nearing that and find the bola as an acceptable fashion. I actually wore one this year. Don't know if it is something that could make a comeback, or if it will go with the generation.

You can get a cheap camera from Radio Shack, and be able to watch and hear what is going on. I used to keep one in the barn, so I could watch for when the ewes were ready to lamb. It is even in color.

I would have to say, "yes". It is slightly waxy feeling.

Open lid, add rocks, add grit, add water, have fun!
Welcome Jolene. Not from there but have been there. Disappointed that I did not see a moose.

Found a magazine publication on this agate from 2013. Are there any Oklahomans on here that can update as to the availability of this agate? Usually after a few years of public access, lands often close for various reasons.

Those soil pipe cutters make opening geodes a lot easier. They are so expensive though. Tumbling therapy. I can accept that. I think the slab saw cutting sound is very soothing.

Look at that blue floating over the green! Real depth in that pic. Fine work.
