Looks like you just got blessed. Hard to find Mexican Opal jars with larger pieces like that anymore. Smaller stuff now a days. I see a lot of man made faceting rough in the green trays in the photo with the Rocks & Minerals book, the boules.

I had a great time at the show. The Oxnard show always has a lot of fun activities for the children. My Noah and Joshua had a busy day coloring "digging" fossils and a treasure hunt. It was great visiting with you Lowell. By the way the fist thing I did when I got home was pull out your book. It will come in handy later this week when I am out at Wiley Wells with the CFMS. I hope I can find those amethyst geodes and maybe even some fire agate!!

Oh yeah...I would be up for a Bruneau hunt!!
I secured permission, from the Summer Rose claim owner earlier this year, to take groups up to the claim. Star Rose Quartz can be found on the claim. The claim is up in the Greenhorn Mountains near Lake Isabella, CA. The only requirement the owner gave me is that I secure liability waivers from each person in the group.

Thank you everyone. My cut fire agates have been very rewarding for me lately. My rough sales died but cabs are HOT!!! Really been helping my Quartzsite fund for this coming season!!! Looks like I just might be able to spend the whole month out there digging and shopping for new materials!!!
