Besides having the flu, we just found out that one of my brothers has a squamous cell carcinoma, it is an oral cancer and on the 27th he will go to Portland, Or. on the 29th he will undergo a 14-16 hour surgery where they will take the small bone out of his leg, shape it into a new jaw and use part of his calf muscle to make his gums and chin. I am going to repackage it and send the large flat rate box on. Sorry for the delay you guys.

Hey Tammy, I do only buy dead soft wire, if I do not think that I have work hardened it enough I always 'work harden' my pieces by pounding on them with a hammer, not any hammer, a rawhide or nylon hammer will ONLY work harden your wire. If you use the metal hammer out of the tool box in the garage, it will no longer look like a wire wrap, but more like a birds nest, no pun intended.
Hope this helps, Tammy Byrd

I just read something about this yesterday. It said to buy only Dead Soft, you can always work harden it by hammering it or tumbling it.
Good luck Tammy

Hey Matt, I couldn't look up anything on that website, it just does not seem to be very user friendly, at least for the things that I wanted to look at. If you were going to stop, I could use a few chunks of quartz, clear quartz. Thanks so much,
Tammy

I am looking for 'Optical Quartz'. Does anyone know where I can purchase any of this. I have been wanting to start making Intartia and I have lots of opals from Lighting Ridge   that I need to cap.
If not Optical Quartz, what do any of you use.

Where you see such a wide array of designs and they also have several of the magazine staff use the same products and make a design of their own.
Thanks for looking all,
Tammy

Does anyone read ArtJewelry Magazine?
I was excited last month when the magazine got a hold of me and said that I had been selected to make a piece of jewelry along with four other people. We were all sent a few pieces that had to be used in our design. We have to send our finished designs into the magazine to have it photographed and published in the 'late January issue'.
The readers will select a winner by voting for their favorite on-line. My piece is almost ready to send in. I really am excited.

That is a mighty nice late Christmas, I would like to say thank you. I need to take photos of everything. I did get it down to a medium flat rate box, but there isn't much room to put stuff back in, but I will add some to it. I am hoping to get photo's and get it sent out shortly, but we have several family members with bad health diagnoses and so we are a little distracted and besides that, I am making a necklace to be published in ArtJewelry Magazine, that is due by the 17th. All I can say is busy, busy, busy.
Thanks, Tammy

Guess what I got today, you'll never guess. LOL I got the box, all I could say is ouch when I saw how much that box cost you to ship! We had a funeral to attend this afternoon so we will go through the box tomorrow. I will take photo's and post everything tomorrow evening.
