My sspelling is not so good looking either. You don’t have a lumberjack in the family, do ya? I was the pilot, my brother cut the wood and I got to pile it.

Having bought a lot of rocks on line both from members and other sites the thing that always gets under my skin is when buying rough I get rocks that have a sliced end. If it was not good enough for the seller why would they think it was good enough for me. Rough to me is not cut. If it is a free bee, thank you. If it is part of my poundage I am probably done buying from you.

All stainless is not created equal. I know my stainless shot I use in a vibe will turn black if I space it out and tumble to long. It can be cleaned pretty easy though. So not sure of the Silicon carbide.

I get fire clay in 50 lb bags from a ceramic supply. If you are near a big city its cheap but if they have to ship hang on to your wallet.

I say mind over matter, if you don't mind it don't matter. Every one likes a mystery but not all mysteries are solved. College professors ... give me a break. I went with a gal one time that would give them a break.

For not having hardly anything with you it sure came out beautiful. Yah I think it turned out nice. Takes twice as long with lesser tools.

I have a piece or two of the blue dot. Mine is gem silica and hard. This material was super soft and the some of the white wore off with the zam. I'm not sure what some parts of that is. I have encountered similar soft areas in some of my Ray Mine slabs. Some of it is real hard and quartzy, some more agate-like, and some with soft areas that are probably calcite or something similar that occurs in those mines. You've done a nice job with that piece! Thank you, it does look like what you have there.

Looks like Ray Mine chrysocolla. When it has those dots, it is called "Blue Dot" chrysocolla/gem silica. VERY spendy stuff. I have a piece or two of the blue dot. Mine is gem silica and hard. This material was super soft and the some of the white wore off with the zam.
