I am very sorry that happened to you Please know that you are far better off without a person that would do that to you Thanks! Yeah, me too: sorry that happened, but there was almost no escaping what played out from the moment of the RTA happening. The rest has been a rollercoaster ride of almost inevitable outcome. However I’m sure those are the edited highlights and things were testing all round. I know first hand they were more testing for some! But yes I agree about being better off. However it seems a marriage is a mighty big hook to wriggle off! I’ll get there... Thanks for all the support and understanding out there!

Well I'm in the middle of it.
I was run over and lucky me won a lot of the complications... for year after year. Lots of pain; lots of physio and despite the medics saying I'll never improve - I will - I'm damned stubborn - and I was ... came the divorce. Nice timing.
Just when I'm getting on top of it (though maybe I'll never be quite fixed) For better, for worse etc ... in sickness and in health?
But then she went bat-shit and some scenes played out that had a better place on a cinema screen than real life. I kept my cool and kept things the way I could and can hold my head up high.
(Despite lots of counseling) my anxiety levels are still occasionally challenged but you know I can see clearly now and she showed her true colours (and lack of metal).
There's a lot best left unsaid. Not least for the court cases.

Welcome back. Things can improve. I had a box-full of issues following an RTA and the repercussions are still playing out just over 5 years down the track. I'm over the depression though anxiety keeps rearing its head. Lapidary can really help to keep you in the moment and earn some self esteem - it can really help to change things for the better. Most of all be kind to yourself. Best of luck. Pick up some rocks and come and play in the forum.
kind regards

Hi Justin - I might be asking some questions later!! I started to learn facetting but had to put it on a back burner for a while. Hoping to pick it up again in the near future. I'm over the pond in England...

I would support the call for an image in long section and / or that you polish one so that we can see any fine detail. Long and cross-section ideally 😁

Sad news chaps. Same here & bias is similar over the pond. Hoping the next stage in negotiation or in court is a little more equitable. Hasn’t been so far! 🤣

Thanks everyone. We’re heading into the negotiation and settlement stages now and then hope to be clear to pick up the pieces and start my hobby and craft again.
I’ve missed the therapeutic effects of cutting and found my solace in the hills and mountains, instead, to the tune of three marathons this year (one was a walk with friends)... So hoping to go ultra next year!
Glad to see so many familiar faces are still around and hope to see more of you in the near future. Watch this space...

I’m back again after “personal issues” & looking forwards to rocking again in the not so far distant future... there’s light at the end of the tunnel!
Still, there are a couple of laps need to be done and dusted (puns intended thanks 😉) before I can get back to cabbing and restart learning how to facet again.
Still feels homely here and I’ll be pleased to be back representing England with my terrible spelling (as it might appear to you) and from where it seems social media is growing a groundswell of lapidary would-be’s, wanna-be’s and already proficient cabbers.

That’s just eye popping!
I like the bench peg too. Folk think that just because something is for sale they have to buy one. This seems bizarre to me - as makers, why don’t we make more like this? I used to use a piece of untreated pine as a charcoal block. Yes it smoked but the block never broke. I’ve seen some complaints that straight out from delivery the block broke on first heating. I’d be well annoyed!!
Back to your work & i’d Be walking like an Egyptian if I made that! 😉

Thanks. Believe it or not I had more do dads to put on, thought it would be too busy... Just the right amount. One of those rings on each finger may be better then a pair of brass knuckles. Chuck That’s a Knockout piece of jewellery! 🤣

Stunning cabs! Did you plug the vugs to preserve them or cut them as is. I guess vugs are more at risk when tumbling..?
