Rockjunkie That is your call. I support it and understand. Still it is cool that you got the offer.

Yep that was my same exact thought. It would be easy to put on quite a show with this wouldn't it.

I keep coming back to look. I don't think you can get much better than this. Looks perfect to me. Nice rock, great polish on cab, fab design, superb setting, top notch photography. I run out of superlatives.

Great picture. I am impressed that they all get along. If I put my dogs in a room like that, everything would be destroyed in seconds.

That is very interesting. Mr Dennis makes it look easy. It isn't. I tried. toiv0 Your example is much better than my attempt.

I love the simplicity of your pendents. I need to learn how to do that.

A very nice pendent Tom. To rescue the project with a rivet on bail is very clever. I wonder why the solder joint failed?

My rule of thumb is if you can do it in brass and copper you can make it look even better in silver. Yes you have to keep the silver from getting scratched and you have to touch it up after you finish.

They look awesome to me. I like the idea and when I get some time i am going to do my version. Don't give up on this too quickly. It takes time to develop a market and the people buying the wire wraps will be different from those buying the prong pendants. Especially when the prong pendants are from copper and brass. Make three or four silver ones and see how they are met by the market.
Although this bulletin board is good for information on "how to" it is not a good market research tool. Hang in there and keep on keepen on.

wonderful stones! I love the simple minimalist settings so why do I like the blue one so much? What stone is that, out of interest? Thank you all for the kind words. The blue stone is sodalite a very nice stone although the color isn't quite right on the photo.

Nice haul, but next time take a bigger truck & leave more time for collecting. If your friends property borders on the river, try the river bank, shallow water spots & gravel bars. You may come away with a Fairburn or 2. All good advise Don. I will probably head back out there next month when the weather warms and the gumbo dries.

Looks like the rocks in the back of your truck are but a fraction of the bunch on your washing table. Glad you are cutting them; you are getting some nice cabs. Thanks for the show! Thanks for the comments. I collect constantly and everywhere much to the distress of my family. If someone has a rock to sell that I like, I am a buying. Internet, garage sales, driveways, and gravel pits are all fair game for this hound.

I wondered if anyone would comment on the music stand. I try to take my fiddle or mandolin along to play when I camp. It makes an enjoyable evening.

Ha ha.. I like the way you think captbob. That trip has payed for itself several times over and I have not even really started to cut those rocks. Should be able to afford another collecting trip this spring.
