Sands is still working on getting his 'puter up. Hopefully tomorrow. I lent him a book on opal cutting to pass the time.

Sands stayed home today. He has a massive abscess in his lower jaw. I am going to try to bring him to the oral surgeon Monday. He is pretty tough about it. Sands is no crybaby, that is for sure. It has been an hectic weekend, and I am glad Sands helped in the shop.

Nothing brings a man to his knees like tooth pain. It is even worse than what a woman can do. We are going to try to get Mr. I do not want to be a burden to the dentist today.

I did. We are bringing him to the oral surgeon tomorrow. He is doing ok, but he looks like a one cheeked chipmunk! He has sent a bunch of photos to someone so expect a file on Doc's shop. He is going to set up his machine to cut and polish in our shop. I insisted, he said ok. He is doing ok.

Hah! Today is the day Sands goes to the oral surgeon! I am going to tell the Dr., when Sands is out, to put pepper spray down his shirt, and put peppers in his jaw. Sands is actually ok, today, the swelling is down in his jaw, and he is reconciled to get the work done and over with. The surgeon I sent him to worked on me and he is, in my opinion, very competent. I was on my feet the next day, after haveing all my teeth removed, except the one he missed. No one is perfect. He took that one, and I was on my feet and in the shop, the next day. I highly reccomend the Dr., I am sending Sands to. He has the touch. His people skills are somewhat askew, but, who cares.

i'm assuming all the dentist will do is give Sands some anti-biotics to try and relieve the abcess and then go back in for a fix in a week or so? still, it's nasty business, good thing it didn't happen halfway there....ouch.
let us know how you all make out!

I just got Sands back from the surgeon. It was cool, I got to watch the entire thing! Yeah! I got to hear bones cracking, blood spurting, pus flowing. I got to watch Sands go to sleep and I was there when he woke up. Gads, I feel like his mother. He never shut up!!! I got him home to his trailer, in our yard, and he was griping like an old lady. I got him to lie down, take a pain pill, he then blew lunch, and lots of blood, and then back to bed and he will probably be there untill tomorrow. The surgeon shot novacaine into the bone as well as put him to sleep. One tooth had a buried abscess. They gave me a siphon so HE can suck the wound dry in four days. He has antibiotics, pain meds, a comfortable bed, lots of quiet. I bet he be up tomorrow. Then into the shop we go. The Dr. pulled four teeth. One tooth he did not know about was ready to take all the teeth. He had an infection in his jaw for a long time Sands is ok. A little grey looking, asleep, and in general done for the day. He be ok tomorrow.

The surgeon gave me a tool to give to Sands. On thursday, if he has a dry socket, this tool is put into the socket a spring is tweaked, and real small wires come out the end spread out, and rip the skin. This will lacerate the socket so it can heal. I am pretty sure Sands is going to be ok. Otherwise, I get to rip up his socket. It is going to be a trip. Sooner or later he is going to be ok.

Just checked on him. He is doing real well. No swelling, no pain, without real pain medication. He is chattering like crazy. He is doing real well. He is ok.

I am going to try to get Sands on line tomorrow. I checked in on him earlier. He was up, getting a little soup, and in general not suffering. He is doing ok. We are watching over him.
