I was in the shop, and had no clue what was going on. I finally looked up and saw a white truck backed up real close to Sands truck! Earlier that day, a fuddy duddy was trying to find a booth and was in the wrong isle. She was almost backing up to several vehicles and did not seem to be able to drive at all. She was lost in the parking lot. She did the same thing today. It seemed like she had not hit anyone today and was looking for just the right vehicle. Welcome to Floriduh. We get beaters to drive here. I get 20yr old vehicles, rebuild the engine and transmissions, and really, just getting to the shop and back you take your lives in your hands at all times. The Q-Tips, aka fuddy duddies, do what they want, when they want, how they want and if you are in their way....... look out! Last year, we had a fuddy duddy, Q-Tip, back his Lincoln completley onto a parked vehicle. He was backing up, and ended completely on top of a car. He also blamed the parked car for the accident. The parked car just happened to be competently parked in the white lines. The parked car was also the only parked car in the parking lot and the Q-Tip had to really work at it to hit it. They are like that here. They drive into store windows, they drive over bus stop benches, they drive into houses, they routinely run red lights at very busy intersections, run stop signs. One Q-Tip last year drove through someone's garage, through the wall, through the addition, and finally ended up in the pool! He tried to sue the homeowner! Welcome to Floriduh. Home of the Elderboomers. It is a small dent on Sands truck. This person backed up a rather long way, without really looking, and then tried to do Sands. It wasn't like it was a tight spot. Sands is a really decent person with a big heart who would do anything for anybody. All the person had to do was say he was sorry and Sands would have probably said forget it. A little cash for the damage, problem solved. He tried to blame Sands for being parked a long way from him. It takes a lot to get Sands mad. The other guy tried to cheap shot the whole thing. It was amazing. On the day when Sands got the courage to open his shop also. What a trip.

small dents CAN be expensive! my husband got rear ended right before Thanksgiving, and while only a small dent in the bumper and door (it's a Dodge Grand Caravan van), the total repair bill was a tad over $1,600.00 !!!! luckily the other guy's insurance picked up the tab AND the rental car for a week while the van was in the shop...(didn't half feel like we had a target painted on the rental as it was a BRAND NEW Chevy Impala!)...yikes!
Sands, sorry to hear of the damage, hope everything works out and you get it fixed.
