Ive got a really old Fuji Finepix F402, Ive got a newer camera now for more artyfarty stuff, but the Finepix has always taken great pics. I think with most cameras, especially digital cameras sunlight is a must. The f402 is 4.2 megapixels, it also has a Macro setting. I am sure that later models of this camera would be even better. no probs in about 4 years with it. Here is a shot from it - closeup with macro (it would - if available still - only cost about 100$ now probably - if that.) This pic is halved in physical size - saved with no jpeg compression. Mark

"Ok Mark, have at it. Is there really such a thing as SEO anymore? I know they used to say the more links you have to your website, the better you'll do in the search engines but I just don't know anymore."
Cher - yes there is SEO. We have whitehatters and blackhatters.
First up - can I ask - why dont you know anymore - do you have some examples?
I can go on for months about this - but if directed better I can be more to the point.
Links still count - but not in terms of quantity - there a penalties for getting links too fast for example.
Have you got an example of some SEO youve maybe stabbed at but it hasnt worked?

I'd like to see a complete revamp of the members "this is me" thread.
I would like to see a whole new load of pics showing who we are and what we do.
Hmmmm I ask myself tho shall I start to try and ask for it?
What think you guys?

Yeah Daniel - come back - whatevers been said n done isnt worth leaving over.
Leaving all this for one problem isnt worth it - as a big poster especially - ive bunked out of forums and gone back aswell.
Its clear that everyone understands everything and noone thinks its a massive deal - certainly not a banning thing for anyone (nowhere near) - and equally not a thing to leave over.
Hope you return.

"forgive and forget"
Yeah - I'll buy that - I really can't see that anything exceptionally long term and/or nasty was meant - its too off the tracks and so extremely innacurate i'd take it with a pinch of salt (and some tomato sauce).
I think the level of "meaning" from people here is far far far larger and deeper than anything which can be summed up in one comment - larger and deeper by a long way.
Yeah - forgive and forget - good thinkin.

Rockyone - for me it is shine.
Undamaged crystals shining got me first - amythyst (sp?) quartz - then I got into the fact that I could polish rough and damaged stone and have it SHINE like the natural stuff.
A deep shine for me is the key to this hobby.
I also like fossils aswell.
Cheers Mark

Guys - I'm really sorry but I unstickied the sticker thread as it wasnt really going anywhere more since it was put up a month ago or so. No major worries and if someone wants to revive the thought process in a more organised manner than I can then please feel free. I just thought that it was getting too complicated for a sticker (albeit I like very much the idea of a sticker for certain!) and other new threads couldnt hit the top. It goes without saying that out of the voting we had and the images that were posted if a sticker came out of it by someone who can make them then I would like one - eerrrr I WANT ONE. Shout me your comments on here about it but I wasnt certain it looked that good floating round the top all the time with no posts. Anyways the threads are still around for people to post in they havent been deleted or anything. Cheers Mark.
