Thank you everyone. I think this style of cutting fire agate can become popular. I will try a few more out. Sheltie, We went back out to the area with the blue gem silica looking material and we just couldn't find much of it.

Yes I am unable to figure out why it would post the photo fine on one site and give an odd message on this one. I will have to try and repost it later.

That is incredible Kurt. Do you have photos of the all sides of the rough before you started carving? I am impressed how you used the white chalcedony and exposed the fire all the while creating form, outstanding.

I will be there. I don't think Lori and the kids will be there. They all came out last weekend and went home with a cold. They are all under the weather except Joshua. So I think they are going to stay where it is warmer with a fire place. I will bring mustard, mayo, ranch dressing and a jar of baby dills. How does that sound? See you all there!!

Larry jixed me. I never ever got stuck till he said something. It has happened twice now. I need a 4x4!!!! I will most likely be posting photos when I get back home. Dave and I were blessed today by an awesome sight. A bighorn sheep walked a stones throw away from us and we found a spot that had some gem silica. Hard as heck to get out on one piece. I got photographic proof!!

Tony, I do not have your number. I am meeting Dave at 8:30 on the shoulder of I-10 near I-60. I am coming from Brenda. If Scot needs a ride you might call Dave and Charlotte. They are staying in Quartzsite.

I made it out to Brenda this evening safe and sound. I am looking forward to this seasons hunt!! Which RV park are you staying at? Lol John...I am at the Brenda RV resort but I have been running around the desert for the last couple of days hunting rock and getting dug out of the sand.
